I wish Mayock didn't say that...Honestly I could care less about Baldy and Vermeil's opinion.

And Gruden doesn't love MV...he said the Eagles didn't do a good job helping MV (MNF vs Saints)

Gruden loves some of our players tho he loves every one, you can tell he is particularly fond of the Eagles, he was gushing over Foles, Graham, Brown and Cox. Jort cream gushing. Even entering the draft and the whole "Gruden QB Camp" where they are sitting in there with Gruden watching tape on there college careers and hes grilling them, haha you can tell he liked Foles a lil more then the rest outside of Luck. Foles is pretty lovable tho.

Don't want Gruden.
Especially when we don't have a quarterback.

The guy is going to sign everyone from Jeff Garcia to Tim Tebow, keeping 6 QBs on the roster hoping one of them is the next Peyton Manning while doing nothing to develop them.

I do not want to go into a Gruden debate. We're a team that needs to rebuild. If we were in a win-now I could understand hiring Gruden. But he lights the fire under that vet and gets that last ounce of good out of them. He is a horrible talent evaluator and is just as bad at developing talent. Tony Dungy developed that Bucs team.

We posted about this yesterday, but here's another quote about Mayock supporting Brian Kelly as an NFL HC:

http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/769/eagles-offense
Quote:
NBC Sports' Mike Mayock told Mike & Mike on Friday morning that he believes Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly would be a successful NFL coach.
Quote:
Mayock has a stranglehold on the NFL game and also broadcasts Notre Dame football, so he's a reliable source. "Yeah, I do," said Mayock. "A, he's highly intelligent. B, he's charismatic. If the guy wanted to be the mayor of Boston, he could be. If the guy wanted to be a CEO of a Fortune 500 company, he could be. ... And if he's paired with a good GM, (the college-to-pro transition) won't be a problem.
That he does. <3 Mayock.

Agreed. And I hate that people use the argument that "he build the Raiders into being relavent again"... Yes he did, but he didn't build them for long term success he just had signed every FA over 30 and had a few good seasons.

Look at his 1st round picks as a HC:

Oakland:
98- Charles Woodson, Mo Collins
99- Matt Stinchcomb
00- Sebastian Janikowski
01- Derrick Gibson

Tampa Bay:
02- No pick (traded)
03- No pick (forfeited to OAK)
04- Michael Clayton
05- Cadillac Williams
06- Davin Joseph
07- Gaines Adams
08- Aqib Talib

And the 2nd round picks are worse

The only QB he drafted in the first 3 rounds were Chris Simms and Marques Tuiosusopo.

In 11 drafts as a HC he only has drafted 3 pro bowlers within the first 3 rounds of the draft (Woodson, Joseph, Janikowski)

He is a terrible drafter

I remember Gruden having the whackiest play calling ever. Dude loved bunch-wr-sets like you wouldnt believe. Grudens playbook is suppose to be epic. Part of his failure to develop talent at time was how complicated he made everything, the complex verbbage on his plays and mass scale of the verbbage and the amount of plays, is legendary among players and coaches.

I don't understand the Kiffin Hire by Dallas. Tampa 2 with their personnel doesn't seem like it'll be a seamless transition, which is good for us. So actually thanks Jurrah

I couldn't agree anymore. USC's defense underachieved the last two seasons with decent talent/potential on the roster. And although I don't think Rob Ryan is really any good at DC, the Cowboys definitely did not get an upgrade with Kiffin.
