Awesome, just freaking awesome !!! So happy right now, the Bears just took a big step in the right direction with the offense. Chicago... you're in for a treat _________________

Well he wasn't my first choice but I'm not disappointed either. If you had said to me a couple of weeks ago that we would be hiring a CFL coach as our head coach I never would have believed it! He clearly must have wowed Emery, especially seeing as he reportedly had that 8-hour interview. If he's beat the other 12 candidates to the job then he must have had something special about him. I trust Emery has made the right decision and just excited to see what happens in the coming months now! _________________

Think he made it to something like 3 Grey Cup games (winning two) in five years too. Clearly has an impresssive CFL resume. Many people suggested Emery may surprise us all with his decision, he's certainly done that! _________________

Also, correct me if I'm wrong but weren't we supposed to be interviewing Rick Dennison today and Bruce Arians on Sunday? _________________

| He has an impressive track record and seems to be high on a lot of nfl players lists. They seem to marvel at his work with QB's and on offense. |

I called for this... Bye bye conservative offense, inadequate use of offensive tools, poor clock management and in-game adjustments. A new era begins _________________

The source does not make me that comfortable.
But Trestman would be a good choice.
Not an expected choice, but sometimes those are the best ones.
Trestman has HC experience and he can fix Cutler and the offense. We would be going into the game with the smarter coach 80% of the time. Jim Schwartz won't know what hit him. _________________

I see @JimmyJohnson's #Bears tweet about Trestman. Yet I'm told the Bears are still interviewing. So... not the coach yet, apparently

Wow thought this place was pretty awesome but clearly not. |
Why does it matter?
Just post over here there is no point in having the same discussion in 2 places.
Having a thread locked here is not a slap in the face it is just trying to get the conversation to 1 place. _________________

@espn_nfcnblog: Other than Jimmy Johnson tweet, no indication #Bears are close to naming a head coach. Still have first interviews scheduled this weekend.
