|
|
|
Its time again for another think outside the box Cough Mock. This time i go full Brown-trade-down-mode.
Trades:
-traded cp to Ariz for their 3rd rounder #69 ( larry fitz will co-sign cp can chase a ring better in Ariz than in Oak)
-traded dmac to indy for their 3rd rounder #88 (indy needs help with the running game, dmac on turf you be a nice combo, they wont find a better rb at the end of the 3rd)
As of today I think the draft will go
1) kc geno
2) jax jarvis
3) The Oakland Raiders trade the pick (2200) with DET for their first round pick 5 (1700) and 2nd round pick #37 (530) for the rights to Luke. (imo det needs a OT badly and with taylor staying in school they leap frog PHI. i know compensation sucks but we need picks and DET gives us the best offer i dont the stl will trade with us btw)
4) phi- milliner
5) The Oakland Raiders trade the pick (1700) to CHI for their first round pick 20 (850), 2nd round pick #50 (380) and 3rd round pick # (170) for the rights to Eric Fisher. (there will be a wild rush for OT's and chi was 10-6 and has to protect cutler so they can afford to reach and leap frog Ariz and MIA)
20) The Oakland Raiders select David Yankey - OT/OG - Stanford - 6'5 - 305lbs
-a guy you may not know about but he is the barret jones of the pac 12 and imo better than barrett (plus i hate that name reminds me of a certain guy who went m.i.a. in the super bowl). he played 4 out of 5 spots on the o-line plus te. he was the recipient of the 2012 Morris Trophy for the Outstanding Lineman in the Pac-12 Conference and was voted by his peers in the pac 12 aka devensive linemen. Yankey graded at 86 percent this season and allowed one sack. imo he can start day 1 as RT, LG or RG. id plug him at RT.

Round 2
36) The Oakland Raiders select Tony Jefferson - Safety - Okla - 5'11 - 212lbs
- First team All-Big 12 performer in 2012. one of the conference's top defenders as a true freshman in 2010, earning Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year honors. he is a reliable tackler and does a nice job breaking down on the move. he plays heady and smart with good football awareness. With 33 starts over three seasons, Jefferson has an impressive collegiate resume that will be appealing to NFL teams. push huff to start or play nickel.
50) The Oakland Raiders select Larry Warford - OG - KY - 6'3 - 343lbs
- he is Second Team All-Southeastern Conference for the 2012. This is the fourth honor Warford has received from league coaches. Warford was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team in 2009, All-SEC second team each of the past two seasons. He did not allow a quarterback sack all year, grading at 90.3 percent for the season and totaling 48 knockdown blocks. Warmack jr. start at rg or lg.
Round 3
66) The Oakland Raiders select Desmond Trufant - CB - Wash - 6ft - 184lbs
-good cb who gets knocked cause he plays for a weak school. with our weak cb core he could push to start. 2012 ALL-PAC-12 FIRST TEAM. A four-year starter at cornerback, he was a key factor in the Huskies' pass defense that current has them ranked 17th in the nation.
69) The Oakland Raiders select Chase Thomas - LB - Stanford - 6'4 - 248lbs
:via Ariz trade
-First Team All-Pac-12 in 2012. for a second straight year has earned All-Pac-12 honors. helped a Stanford defense that leads the nation in rushing defense. he has 71 tackles, 14.5 tackles for a loss, one interception and 7.5 sacks for Stanford this year. beast that tarver is familiar with can play all the lb spots in both a 3-4 and 4-3 and can also put a hand in the dirt.
84) The Oakland Raiders select Mike Gillislee - RB - Fla - 5'11 - 209 lbs
At 1,104 yards this season, Gillislee is Florida's first 1,000-yard rusher since 2004. Gillislee became a complete back in his senior season, capable of picking up blitzes and catching passes out of the backfield. The 5-11, 201-pound Gillislee has rushed for 10 TDs this season and also has 146 yards and one TD receiving. depth could push to start.
88 ) The Oakland Raiders select Sanders Commings - FS/CB - Georgia. 62 216lbs
via: indy trade
- Its no secret that we need secondary help esp at CB. Sanders can play CB or Safety imo. He had a brush with the law early this year which is knocking his stock down. He had 2 key ints vrs tenns crazy passing attack and has been solid the whole season. Great size and speed combo with good football iq.
Round 4
The Oakland Raiders select James Gayle, DE, Virginia Tech. 64. 269 lbs
: we also need a real 4-3 DE that can rush the passer and can also play 3-4 olb in a pinch. Gayle had 38 tackles with 12.5 tackles for a loss and seven sacks last year and was Second-Team All-ACC. He is on pace to match or exceed those #s this year. One of my fav prospects I think he will be a stud in the nfl. His team has underachieved and his draft stock takes a hit cause of.
Round 5
The Oakland Raiders select Mister Cobble, NT, Kentucky. 6 332lbs
:human bowling ball. With tko and rich more than likely leaving a true NT is needed esp if we go 3-4. Knock on him is his size but I think that works in his advantage leverage wise. Imo he is a poor mans Hampton. He is a solid run stopper that can disrupt the pocket from time to time.
udfa
Patrick Lewis, OC, Texas A&M. 62 312lbs
: Lewis was an honorable mention All-Big 12 selection the past three seasons - as a guard in 2009 and 2010 and as a center in 2011. We can use his versatility on the line.
