Texans DE J.J. Watt wins the AP Defensive Player of the Year Award. #Broncos LB Von Miller was a finalist. #NFLHonors

He was the clear-cut winner, had an amazing season and possibly the best overall season by a lineman in history.

Well deserved. He put up one of the most dominant performances from a defensive player I have ever seen this season.

Absolute no brainer. One of the greatest defensive seasons in NFL history. Scary to think of the future that he has ahead of him.

Has anyone ever gotten all 50 votes for DPOY? 49/50 is insane for an award at that level.

Not sure but Tom Brady received all 50 votes when he won MVP in 2010. [Although strangely 49 in 2007]

In my 20 or so years of watching football, I've never seen anyone like him.

Surprised, tbh.

Wink

Congrats to him. Love watching him play, the NFL is a more interesting place when the defenses have guys like him to help balance the field.
