The difference is Ben was never convicted, arrested, nor found guilty of anything. Rainey and others have been. Not that it makes it right, but it's true.

Anyways, I hope this is a wake up call for Rainey and he cleans his act up and maybe can have a successful life on and off the field.

I was really rooting for Rainey, but he's easily replaceable.
Hope he learns from his mistakes. This one cost him his job.

I don't understand why so many people say this. Let the thread play itself out and at least add to the thread instead of making usless comments like that.
Rainey wasn't adding anything special to the team anyways. He wasfast and that's about it. Hopefully he learns and grows up quick or he will be following McClain right on out of the league. |

They were in the midst of trading Ben. Trading options were pulled when he wasn't found guilty of anything.

I don't recall them ever looking to deal Ben, but that would've been a huge mistake anyways.

this is true, but people don't want to hear it because when he was only "accused" in the court of public opinion people has made up their minds.
Well if that is the case Ray Lewis is a murderer...
