Let's not act like Ben got a pass because he "didn't get arrested." The guy's the franchise QB. Unless he's looking at serious jail time they're not gonna let him go. Chris Rainey is a return specialist who probably barely made the 53 man roster. One guy's just easier to make an example out of, while the other is too important to your team winning.
Edit- @Ernesto It was a joke. Get over it. | It made me laugh out loud. I liked it! _________________

Well this escalated quickly,
I didn't mean the Steelers are a perfect or model organization (Although they are much closer to being one than my organization is). Just that they did the right thing in this instance, so kudos to them.
Let's try not to get this thing locked now... |

I don't have to get over anything, I'm not mad. I'm saying you're going to get the thread locked if you say ish like that. |

I'm not giving him a pass at all fact is no arrest. Rainey was on think Ice when he got here. Old saying different strokes for different folks. _________________

Everyone praising Steelers. But it's their fault for drafting players with character issues in the first place. The whole 2012 class is almost an entire waste of a draft. _________________

Ease off the hyperbole. 2 people praised the Steelers' FO, nobody else did.
As for the draft class being a bust, it certainly was this year, but it's not like they're all off the team. 6/9 are still on it, including our top 4 picks, 2 of which are set to start next year. Who knows how long Ta'amu will stick on though. |

I don't understand why so many people say this. Let the thread play itself out and at least add to the thread instead of making usless comments like that.
Rainey wasn't adding anything special to the team anyways. He wasfast and that's about it. Hopefully he learns and grows up quick or he will be following McClain right on out of the league. _________________

Just see them taking a chance and bringing him in. I actually had him mocked to the Jets in last years draft. _________________ 44 and 21 Once a Giant, always a Giant

The fourth-string RB got cut after his third run-in with the law in two-and-a-half years.
And no, the 2012 draft was not necessarily a "disaster" for the Steelers. Their top three draft picks will all be healthy by training camp. |

I wouldn't mind him as a Jet at all. I was going to suggest it in my post but decided against it.
And you guys are right, there are a few players that got a few extra chances. But the Steelers overall do run a tight ship and I like that. It's a lot more than some organizations can say. _________________
