Yep he got the axe, and I'm glad that he did. RBs are a dime a dozen, and we can just pick someone up next year. I didn't see him having the value we all thought he would in the running or catch out of the backfield this year.
Oh what an interesting off season it has been so far. |

I loved the pick last April, had a fumbling problem but I still wished he had more opportunities to see what he could do but now we'll never know. No running backs on the roster once FA starts. Should be interesting.
I wouldn't mind having Mendy back like some have said if its on a Michael Bush type contract but I don't want any money given to him if it interferes with resigning keenan Lewis in any way. _________________

Followed by a text from Marvin Lewis asking how long would take him to get to Cinci cause he's a perfect fit. All jokes aside, I support the decision. I just wish the Steelers were more consistent in this area than they have been of late. If you wanna waive guys with legal issues, do it with all of them. Don't pick and choose based on talent. Seems somewhat hippocrytical. But maybe I'm not looking at it right. _________________

That's why you asked for DC and not an offensive coach position for FFMD!! |

the fact that he is still on the team while they cut Rainey speaks volumes about both the lack of intelligence as well as the lack of consistency in this team's FO.
I'm not saying Rainey was right, but come the hell on. What is his possible jail time? And what is Ta'amus?
Who put someone's actual LIFE(VE)S IN DANGER?
Why does this franchise protect the worse (alleged) criminal?
gimme a break.
*further edit*
and now we already had enough voids to fill via FA/Draft, add another
This team is becoming un by simple-minded. _________________ DIAF |

I already had Rainey on the ropes and was hoping for better options anyways. I have several prospective draft prospects id rather take a look at. _________________

I thought last off-season was quite serene, honestly. Everything that I wanted to happen, happened. Of course, nothing that I wanted to happen, happened after training camp.
Maybe the Steelers need a turbulent off-season to thrive next season, considering the 2010 off-season was easily the most turbulent that I can remember, and the Steelers went to the Super Bowl the next season. |

Let's see how their top three draft picks perform when they're healthy before we write this draft off.
