The Independent Florida Alligator (student run newspaper in Gainesville, FL) is reporting that Chris Rainey was arrested early Thursday morning.

Not the best link and I haven't seen in confirmed anywhere else but figure it's worth posting. He's been arrested before and there's a reason they call this town Gainesvegas.

Ah yes, the usual quiet offseason has begun for the Steelers.
It's being reported all over right now that he indeed got arrested due to a physical altercation with his girlfriend.

That was a very fast response by the team.
Rainey needs to get his life straightened out, especially with how poorly he treats women, before worrying about his NFL career. I hope this causes a light to go on for him and he gets the help he needs to deal with his anger problems.

Wouldn't be surprised if Pouncey just socks the dude in the face. He convinced the Steelers to draft him and this is how Rainey repays him! Absolutely disgusting! |
