An absolute joke as a HC. I don't think he ever made a 2nd half adjustment besides the Colts game.
Time for a fresh start in Jax. I'm excited. |
Fresh starts always feel great.
I think I'm more excited for this upcoming (off)season than the last one. |

Two candidates for the Jaguars HC job are expected to be 49ers OC Greg Roman and Rams OC Brian Schottenheimer. |

I've read a report to the tune that Falcons special teams coordinator Keith Armstrong might be a wildcard candidate. He sounds intriguing, having coached in a variety of backgrounds.
I might be alone here, but I don't think that hiring a so-called "genius" on one side of the ball is the best way to go- I'm hoping for a guy with vision, who connects with Caldwell and will identify talent with him, and will manage a group of competent coordinators and position coaches. |

Makes no sense to have a dead man walking in the introduction presser. |
He quit in Buffalo. Whatever the circumstances were behind the scenes there, the fact remains that he just walked away - not exactly being screwed.
He also took a fairly talented, young team and barely eked out two wins. The guy he replaced more than tripled the production with far less talent to work with.
The guy screwed himself by being a bad head coach. _________________

I honestly don't have any problem with Mularkey. I thought he was a passionate head coach who was thrown into a crappy situation. Though I do agree with the decision. Good luck Mularkey. _________________

Feel bad for Mularkey, and he definitely didn't get a fair shot, but whatever. There are better options out there. Hopefully we get one. _________________

As we've long noted Greg Roman in good shape for Jags job. Mike Nolan, Vic Fangio, Jay Gruden could get interviews too |

I wouldn't be surprised, nor against it if Nolan gets the job. He's still young and has taken his lumps from previous opportunities. Both of the teams he's coached were tough and scrappy with very good defenses (SF @ Denver). He's a guy I could see as having figured it out with what will be his final opportunity to get a head coaching gig. _________________
