Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator Bruce Arians
Knows how to work with young QBs
"Offensive Coordinator"/Running Game Coordinator/Offensive Line Coach
Mike Solari
Has had success in the running game and with offensive linemen everywhere he's gone.
Defensive Coordinator Lovie Smith
He is qualified to change the defensive culture which is a necessity for anyone hired for the job.
Free agent objective is to increase the size and physicality of the defense.
Free Agents:
DE Michael Johnson 26, 6'7” 270
DT Desmond Bryant 27, 6'6 311
CB Keenan Lewis 27, 6'0 208
CB Phillip Adams 25, 5'11 192
SS LaRon Landry 28, 6'0 220
FS Kenny Phillips 26, 6'2 217
S Mike Mitchell 26, 6'0” 213
WR/ST Domenik Hixon 29, 6'2 197
Cuts:
Mike Patterson
Nnamdi
Kurt Coleman
Casey Matthews
Cullen Jenkins
Jason Avant
Trade:
#4 to the Rams for #16, #22, and #46
Brent Celek 7th
Jeremy Maclin 5th
The draft appears devoid of players worthy of a #4 pick so trading down with a sucker is the best move.
1st (Rams) Matt Barkley QB Southern California 6-2 230
1st (Rams) Xavier Rhodes CB Florida Stater 6-1 217
2nd Dion Jordan OLB Oregon 6-6 243
2nd (Rams) Lane Johnson OT Oklahoma Sr 6-6 303
3rd Travis Frederick C/OG Wisconsin 6-4 338
4th Joe Kruger DE Utah 6-6 280
5th Jamie Collins OLB Southern Mississippi 6-3 240
5th (Maclin) Marquess Wilson WR Washington State 6-3 188
6th Tavarres King WR Georgia 6-1 200
7th Sanders Commings CB Georgia 6-1 216
UDRFA
Mark Harrison WR Rutgers 6-3 234
Corey Fuller WR Virginia Tech 6-2 196
Mychal Rivera TE Tennessee 6-3 245
Justice Cunningham TE South Carolina Sr 6-4 264
Aaron Hester CB UCLA 6-1 207
Braden Wilson FB Kansas State 6-3 254

Tbh I kind of like this except for a few things.
Matt Barkley.
The 1st round pick trade is very unlikely one 1st and a 2nd is more likely.
Sanders Cummings will be gone by the 5th unless something happens to him.
The fact that Dion Jordan is an athletic freak will propel him into the 1st.
Other than that this mock is ok. _________________

You are bringing in 8 defensive backs?
And it seems like Rams are trading with a sucker too, why are we drafting Barkley so early? We should be able to get him much later _________________

No one is going to Arians a head coaching job this year and Lovie will not be a coordinator. He has already said he wants to be a head coach.
8 free agents after coming out of free agent hell with a new coaching staff, is the most unlikely thing in the world.
Little value for Maclin and Celek.
I like Barkley but he is the same player as Foles, the same player. Only difference is Foles is already progressing where as Barkley would be starting from scratch. Literally a lateral move in terms of the payer and a step backwards in terms of development.
Makes zero sense. _________________

Sorry man, not really feeling any of this.
If we take Matt Barkley in the first, I will cry. _________________

So we keep Vick and draft Barkley?
We hire Arians as HC?
And you bash people for their ideas?
If this was an attempt at humor, you did a good job. _________________

I don't know how this would work with the salary cap. You would have to cut Vick.
I'm not crazy about Barkley but I like the rest of it.
Edit: And I don't think Lovie needs to be a DC for Bruce Arians for a year. I think he can get a head coaching job this offseason. _________________

Too many starting caliber FAs (unrealistic), the trade with the Rams is unrealistic, Barkley is a terrible pick, no way Jordan lasts until round 2, and no way Cummings lasts until the 7th.
Oh, and you kept Vick, which makes little sense personnel-wise and no sense cap-wise |

Matt Barkley has so many haters that I recently grown into a fan of the guy. Most of you guys have no idea what to look for in a QB anyway.
When a team has no franchise QB you have to bring in more bodies that have yet to prove that they will never be a franchise guy. Bray and Landry Jones are my preferred guys because they can get the ball downfield easily but Barkley has less question marks. I'm waiting for someone to say that he has a weak arm so that I can get my copy/paste on. |

And what's up with Vick in your mock? And why no depth chart?
C'mon PE. You're a veteran poster. You know better than to put forth a half-hearted attempt at a mock. Then again, you'll just make three more mocks in the offseason, where you change 1 or 2 picks and FAs anyway. _________________

Don't want Arians as HC
Too many free agents
Rams wouldn't make that trade
Draft is meh, not really a fan of Barkley _________________
