I have a feeling this is the game where we allow 30+ points for the first time all year.

If we're gonna win this, it's on the offense to keep up - or Earl/Kam to go off. Before FedEx Field bit his leg off, RGIII and whatever receiver was on the left side were exposing Browner's rust (his reactions just looked awful) and I'm not confident that another week of practice will get him up to speed - at least not enough to shut down White or Jones. There's going to be at least one "toast" moment on the left, once Julio gets lined up against #39.

Add to that: Jaquizz/Turner and the screen game, TonyG and his matchup nightmare, and any major spread formations, exposing Trufant and our Nickel/Bandit... I honestly think we struggle to keep the score low without a boatload of turnovers.

On the other side, I see Atlanta's defense having a rough day as well. They don't match up well against the run, so one of two things will happen - they'll sell out in order to slow the run game down and Wilson will tear them up... or we'll get our yards on the ground, and plenty of them. This should be a shootout and I can't bet against #3 and this team right now.

Hawks 36, Falcons 31 (Yeah, Longwell's gonna be all over this box score)

In the back of my mind, I keep thinking we're gonna have to score 30+ to win this game which is why I don't think the offense can afford to leave points out on the field. The offense put up 24 last week but could've had at least 14 more points. If they had converted those chances that would've been 38 points. I think that kind of point total would almost surely mean victory. But I'm still hoping that the D comes out and puts the Falcons on lockdown right out of the gate and takes the pressure off the offense.

Anyone know if Marshawns foot injury might keep him out of this game or are they just holding him out of practice to keep him fresh?

No way in hell. He's been practicing very little this whole season.

Yea there is absolutely no way he misses this game. Like Tats said he has been practicing very little all season so nothing to worry about.

How the hell do we only have 2 pages in here? We need some Atlanta trolls to come in here and fire us up apparently.

And I'm really not worried about this game. I was more worried about Washington to be honest, I like playing Atlanta.

Us not posting means the team is going to come in not pumped? Laughing

I'm more nervous than a lot of you are, I just don't post in the gameday thread much aside from actually on game day.

i said that? Don't think i did. But it's the playoffs, the first GDT of the year against the cards had almost 20 pages of real conversation (not trolling/banter) before the game even started. Now we've won a playoff game, and there's a whole lot of quiet before the storm. It's just unsettling. I didn't say anything about how the team is going to perform based on the fans, but this could very well be the last game we talk about for a YEAR. Just hoping people are understanding that
