Why would that have hurt his stock. It was one game against a team with superior talent across the board. Took him three seasons to get Charlie Weis's dump to a National Championship Game when most people thought they'd never be contenders again.

I mean they got trounced but it wasnt because of coaching. Bama is just head and shoulders better than ND. (Also, pains me to say that as a ND fan)
Also, I dont know if Brian Kelly would leave ND. He has a good gig there.

I've always had Kelly pegged as a college coach, I would never expect a team to give him a HC offer at the NFL level. He wins at the college level more due to being a "rah rah" players coach, that gets the most out of his talent, than an X's and O's coach. My team is searching for a coach right now and I have been pretty open to any of the options out there, but I really hope we don't go for Kelly. I would be a bit frightened if we even had him in for an interview.

None of that is true. Kelly is an excellent talent evaluator and Xs and Os guy. He is much more the CEO type coach than the mascot type.

Could be a recruit ploy ... "Look at our HC he is so good he is getting interviews from the NFL to be a HC".

This could be epic! He seems like a no non sense guy and we have a bunch of idiots who are nothing but non sense. Hope this goes down and he cleans house and puts some of this soft head cases in there place.
