Mack $6m
TJ Ward $6m
2014 Cap will have about $10m going into the draft
We have huge contracts coming off the board with DQ 2015 & Ahtyba 2014 <$16m>
Going into Camp if all this happened I would seriously consider QB position especially the following scenarios
Alex Smith for 2015 1st or 2014 2nd
Would also heavily consider...
Mike Vick if he is released
Matt Flynn if he is released
Also Jarvis Jones could fall all the way to mid 2nd round. He has the same issue Marcus McNiel had spinal stenosis.
This mock with Jarvis Jones for our 2014 1st & 2nd would really finish the touch. 2014 looks to be the weakest draft in 10 years...
Browns go 19-0 2013!!!
Atleast in my Madden franchise
Cant wait to see what Haslam & Banner does with all the options we have & the facts are facts. Steelers & Raven are on serious decline

I totally forgot about Jared Cook.
Dude would be a good signing for us.
Maybe great signing. _________________

Stuff it. Upgrades all over & u call it fail...
Its just a mock & we know little if any of this will happen..
ID prefer to trade every pick in this draft for Carson Palmer & extend Buster Skrine to huge mega contract & resign Sheldon Brown to the highest paid contract ever for a DB..
now that would be fail |

1. You don't cut solid starters to save a few pennies. Frostee Rucker at his worst is a GREAT #3 DE. Chris Gocong is a great run stopper and if he is no the same after the injury you cut him then and only then. We have plenty of cap room so you keep him around to compete.
2. You are cutting depth just to save money. Usama Young is horrible but for depth in this league it gets a lot worse and like I said we have the money.
3. John Gruden is not even an option and Josh McDaniels cannot move laterly. He has also stated he will not leave NE for a HC job.
4. Joshua Cribbs is old and washed up. Return specialist don't get new contracts over the age of 30. Benjamin could have done better this year.
5. Jared Cook Top 5 TE money? Is that a joke? The guy is a head case and inconsistant on his best days.
6. 70 Million on guards?
7. Star never falls that far and your trades are unrealistic at best.
8. Draft
Xavier Rhodes can deliever a big hit but he cannot tackle worth a lick. I do like him because he reminds me of Merton Hanks.
Jackson Jeffcoat has already stated he is going back to Texas
Alex Okafor is far from the explosive pass rusher we need and is a huge down grade against the run fron Frostee Rucker.
Tyler Bray is the inconsistant and inaccurate headcase the was Derek Anderson combined with the whinny attitude and horrible leadership of Phillip Rivers. _________________

I thought Rucker started slow this year, but he finished strong. Don't understand why we would cut him and Gocong. Especially when you didn't even find an upgrade for Gocong and if we had a better pass rushing DE, I could see Rucker getting a chance to spell both RDE and LDE, making our D-line rotation extremely strong. _________________ Adopt-a-Brown: Jabaal Sheard - Stats:

Agreed but at the same time Gocong is not going to improve & with his $5m+ sticker he can go as far as I am concerned. Usama is nothing special & DE who are good against the run are cheap.
2. You are cutting depth just to save money. Usama Young is horrible but for depth in this league it gets a lot worse and like I said we have the money.
huge FS/SS draft class this year with guys who have much higher cielings IMO. Usama is quick but he just never makes enough plays on the ball & is suspect all around
3. John Gruden is not even an option and Josh McDaniels cannot move laterly. He has also stated he will not leave NE for a HC job.
he would leave for money IMO & this is not a realistic mock
4. Joshua Cribbs is old and washed up. Return specialist don't get new contracts over the age of 30. Benjamin could have done better this year.
he still has good #s & yes Benjamin looks very good
5. Jared Cook Top 5 TE money? Is that a joke? The guy is a head case and inconsistant on his best days.
no he is a beast & just as capable as Vernon Davis. He has the same gifts anyways
6. 70 Million on guards?
you do realize this is a mock?
7. Star never falls that far and your trades are unrealistic at best.
wrong & wrong. every year somebody falls. Star is not even as good as Haloti Ngata & he went #13 you know the year we traded with Ravens? My points are nearly tit for tat. We traded down before in the 1st twice so this is just one more time. Maybe you forget the year we traded down twice & picked up 2 2nds?
8. Draft
Xavier Rhodes can deliever a big hit but he cannot tackle worth a lick. I do like him because he reminds me of Merton Hanks.
Jackson Jeffcoat has already stated he is going back to Texas
your right on this
Alex Okafor is far from the explosive pass rusher we need and is a huge down grade against the run fron Frostee Rucker.
I like Frostee Rucker. I been high on him all year. If he can get his sack total up to 6+ & maintain the level of play against the run he will be a very good 2 down RE
Tyler Bray is the inconsistant and inaccurate headcase the was Derek Anderson combined with the whinny attitude and horrible leadership of Phillip Rivers.
I go back and forth between him Logan Thomas & Landry Jones
The real off season is going to be like this...
HC "enter name" second fiddle we blew it already with Kelly. We could get lucky here & I really think we have the best roster & over best position for a HC to move into.
1 FA top tier names not 4
Draft
#6 Geno Smith or Matt Barkley
The rest will be BPA |

| And yet you didn't get one after cutting one of the better ones in the NFL who was only set to make $2.5m next season. Rucker was easily the most underrated guy on the D last year and was great at setting the edge. Cutting him to be replaced with a 2nd round rookie would be a huge mistake. That plus cutting gocong = Ray Rice destroying the defense on outside runs. _________________

I like to give snaps to Billy Winn to save my butt there. Good point & my 2 7ths plus ADFA & or a lower priced guy in the FA market & or just keeping Frostee. His salary is only $2.8m... |

Sacrificing talent to save money when we already have the world to spend is just stupid no matter how you spin it. Quit digging deeper and admitt this needs serious work. _________________

Mack handles big guys well. Star to Steelers for 1st & 2nd is also taking away from them there 2nd rounder. I take this all day.
First off if your going to disagree just disagree. Don't just make up stuff that has no bearing or has zero factual proof. There is no other combination of players to upgrade at with this draft & FA market. I made major upgrades at every position other than QB while keeping the cap at $10m with those players & salaries.
But either way it makes no difference. I am probably not factoring in easily $5-10m in dead money. Plus this mock is totally un-realistic.
Id be happy with 2 FA with solid talent & 2 in the draft plus some depth guys with upside keeping the team intact. No way are we dumping Frostee, Usama, & getting all those trades. No way are we getting 4 big names. |
