The Jets are going to hire Marty Mornhinweg according to reports. Is he really, really bad? Any thoughts on him?

You're going to love him. He's a transcendent football mind.

It's an upgrade. If their defense can return to what it was in the not too distance past, then Marty should be alright fielding them what will probably be a little better than average offense.

Just a crappy play caller.
His only saving grace is he seems to connect well with quarterbacks and knows how to develop them. I think that was his selling point, to develop Sanchez.

You'd want him on the staff as Mark's personal QB trainer but not as the guy calling the offense.

Well we just hired John Idzik as our GM, so I have a feeling that a trade for Matt Flynn might be in order. I don't see us trotting Marky Mark out there next season. If we fail to dump him on someone, I doubt he sees the field next season.

He's actually pretty similar to B Schotty as a playcaller, so you guys should pretty much know what to expect

So happy he's gone. This must be what Lion fans felt after Matt Millen left.
