I've never seen a scorpion or snake in my entire life out here. I also live in a populated area (much of metropolitan PHX is well populated), so that may play a factor as far as the snakes go; those things die off once you build on their land. If you live in the mountains or more desert areas (North Scottsdale), I'm sure you see them all the time.

Not serious  - just remembered that Alice Springs was mentioned as having a similar climate to Phoenix. I'm sure there's plenty of space in the outback for buggy riding and dual-sport bikes. |
