Just got off work and saw this on SportsCenter... wtf no link yet
I think he deserved another year. This was a #1 ranked defense before all of the injuries _________________

I hate this decision. They are just trying to blame a bad season on him, because Garrett can't man up to it and take the blame that it's his rubbish playcalling that in big part cost us the PO. GOD i'm PISSED!
- If Eberflus and Henderson walks with him, we have destroyed one of the best defensive coaching staffes IMO. |

I will say that in defense of this move, I was a little disappointed by how predictable Ryan's defense was, and the lack of movement before the snap, which was supposed to be what he was known for.
At the same time, he didn't deserve to be fired. As for whether this will be a good move or not it will depend on who we hire. Lovie Smith anyone? _________________ Victor Cruz vs Dallas in 2012:

Guys, I think that I just turned into another Jerry Jones hater. And Jason Garrett along with it.
- Jon Gruden, please. |

I can pretty much guarantee that they will leave and go with Rob Ryan. Rob was the one who wanted them here. _________________

Good, now JG can now bring his first choice in Dom Capers. I wouldn't mind seeing Ray Horton get a shot at DC for our Boys if the Packers deicde to place the red carpet for Capers. _________________

I personally do not mind the decision to fire him. While he was dealt a difficult hand due to the lack of off season in year 1 and injuries in year 2, what exactly has he done that instills confidence. In my opinion, he too often tried to out smart the opposing team instead of just lining up and playing sound football. More often than not, the only team confused seemed to be the Cowboy's defense.
My other problem with Ryan was that this defense never came close to creating turnovers. You have to get turnovers to win in this league and Ryan's defense never seemed to create many or even come close to creating any.
I would have been content with giving him one more year, but I am not upset with the firing either.
We are headed to a 4-3 defense, which I prefer at this point. _________________ Gmenseattle: "Yes Eli is the reason our season is going down the tubes."

I liked the guys overall plan for this team, I liked the drafting we have had with him as a HC, I liked how I felt I saw a difference in terms of heart on this team.
BUT, as you say, this guy has no accountability. He is the most stubborn jerk in the NFL and doesn't care if he damage the chances of the Cowboys of being competitors as long as he can give someone else the fault of another 8-8 season. If Jerry don't force him, he would have wanted to keep the OC duties yet again even tho he has had a lot of terrible playcalling his whole playcalling career in Dallas. |

After his first year as OC the 2007 season, JG has been close to an abomination at playcalling. As a HC the team had been trailing the opposing team for close to 80% of the whole season and last year JG single handily cost us a game or two with him icing his own kicker. Yet he gets a pass _________________
