Comic gold. | Ok, I need to come down a bit on Ro for this one, b/c this is pretty much my feelings w/ the whole "illegal tint" ticket. This is something cops use to fundraise. | Safety issue. When police do a routine stop, they need to be able to ascertain how many people are in the car and what they might have in their possession. | I get that aspect of it, but the rules are so undefined for what is or isn't illegal tint. _________________

Why would it lessen the cap penalty? The penalty is typically for monies you've already paid out but haven't accounted for on your cap ledger (i.e. counted against the cap in any year yet). The league doesn't give allowances of creative accounting because your players are morons.
If that were the case the Chargers could get out from under Gaither's contract. |
Clauses in contracts for arrests and trouble with the law |
I wouldn't count on it unless they've redone his contract since his rookie year to slip clauses in. He had no arrests prior to being drafted so there wouldn't be any reason for the team (particularly with Al still running the show and wasn't he pretty darn loose with contract terms?) to insist on riders that would let Oakland recoup bonus monies in the event of trouble with the law. |
I think you are correct but its fair to point out that he did have multiple run ins with the law before being drafted. |
Really? Cuz I ran a not-so-lazy Google search on that yesterday and didn't find any sign of that on there or in any of the draft reports on him by several sources (including NFL.com's scouting report and they almost always mention past arrests and run-ins with the law). _________________

Absolutely not. Russell is the #1/2 all time bust in NFL history, McClain isnt nearly that bad. _________________ First jersey purchased: Jamarcus Russell.
Second jersey purchased: Rolando McClain.
Next purchases: Every Chiefs, Chargers and Broncos player. |

WOW, what a moron. Sad fact of life that he'll be seeing more money in one year than most hardworking people have seen in their lives.
That being said...what would your favorite team give up for him? _________________

The police reported that McClain claimed to be "Rolando McClain, starting MLB for the Oakland Raiders." After a name search, it indeed came up that he wasn't the starting MLB. It was a big time lie and he is an idiot. _________________

No, Britt is actually good when he's on the field. |
Yeah. If McClain weren't at Alabama and weren't drafted so high this would be a footnote. He's not even a good football player. Perhaps he could join the WWE and suplex smaller people for a living. _________________
