According to the explanation, the Brady Quinn contract factored in and knocked it down to a 7th rounder. |

Would the fact that there are two forfeited picks in the draft (Browns for supplemental draft pick; Saints for bountygate) have any bearing on this? |

none, last year there were 3 forfeited picks and 253 picks overall (32*8=256) |

I'm the author of this piece, hi everybody.
I answered a few questions in the comments sections below the piece. There are a few errors, that I'll be looking into. I don't have a staff so managing to keep every free agent signed vs. cut is difficult. If you think there are some concerns, let me know and I'll look into them.
I'll be putting together an updated piece as we get closer to the draft. |

We only really signed Quinn and Hillis. We lost Carr, Orton, and McClain.
We also signed Routt, Winston, and Boss, but they were cut by Oakland, Houston, and Oakland respectively, so they don't really count towards anything.
So I believe Quinn/Hillis and Orton/McClain should roughly cancel each other out, and we should get a pick for whatever Carr is worth.

Then, i think you'll get a 3rd for Carr and maybe a 7th for net value as well.
