That stinks. I thought the Giants would get at least one compensatory pick. I didn't realize that trades factor into this formula? _________________

| Giants should get a pick as Keith Rivers was traded for and not a Free Agent |

He likely will from everything I'm hearing. played in 100% of the snaps for the defense in New Orleans and made 4th round cash. _________________

You only get a 3rd round pick if you lose more FA's than you sign and other things go your way. The Cheifs gained one lost one so they can only get a 7th round pick based on contract differences.
Also, does anyone have a confirmed report of how cut players work? I know that is you cut a player they are not a "loss" but the signing of a player who was cut is still a "gain" I beleive. |
There's no confirmed report about how this whole process works. But you should read this, i think he's pretty close to the reality.

Do they value people based on what they were when we added/lost them? or how they played for the other team?
I find it hard to believe losing Manningham, Jacobs, and Ross is cancelled out by Locklear and Bennett going by what they were last year. |

Thank you Nate Livings. You were good for something... |
Looks like it worked for both of us. Hes been solid addition. Prob just needed a chanege of scenery. |
Agreed. He's looked better for you guys than he did for us. Those holding penalties at the worst times just killed us during his time here... |

| Shouldnt there only be 32 of these picks? Essentially adding in the 8th round? From my count on the OP they have 34... |

Jacobs was released, he doesn't count. _________________

Prob bc you guys signed Lofton and Grubbs to decent sized deals. |
We also lost Tracy Porter, Robert Meachem and Aubrayo Franklin though. I thought that'd be enough to get us a compensation pick. _________________

Aubrayo Franklin's contract probably isn't big enough to qualify. You also signed David Hawthorne and Brordick Bunkley. So unless i'm missing some players you've lost, you've signed more qualifying players than you've lost, hence no comp pick. _________________

Also I believe the Colts will get a decent pick (4thor 5th) for Pierre Garcon. I can't remember where the math is I did on it but I remember the Colts signings cancelling out all the loses with the exception of Garcon and later finding out that the Bengals signed Jamaal Anderson to a decent contract which I didn't account for at that time. |

| Browns also lost Artis Hicks to Miami ($2M contract), which should be worth another 7th rounder. If he hit his escalator and earned his $500K bonus, that would propel said pick to a 6th rounder, going by AdamJT13's formula. |
