I do that sometimes. Probably going to end up doing that tonight. _________________

This past summer, I went to sleep at 3:30am and woke up at 5am to drive 4-5 hours to attend a 10 hour concert _________________

Don't forget he forced Caldwell to go to New York for that second interview knowing full well he was going to come back. _________________

also, that sounds like white-collar assault | He wanted Caldwell to make sure this job was the best for him before he signed. There's something special about that. _________________

Am i the only one who wasn't blown away by that press conference?
Other than the No Tebow thing, did he really say much of anything? A lot of nice words thrown around, but to me it was just covering the standard bases for a new GM hiring. Extremely vague on actual direction and vision.
Basically...he's going to try to build a winning team with a good coach and it's going to be an open competition at QB. Cool. Good to know?
I mean, not like it was a bad presser or anything. Nor did i expect much of anything different. But it didn't exactly change my outlook on the season...I'm a lot more interested in what Caldwell actually manages to put together in the offseason. |

We learned:
- No Tebow
- Blaine isn't necessarily out
- Has QBs in mind via FA/Trade
Last two kind of imply we don't go QB high
But yeah, mainly the No Tebow thing is the big thing... and it should be. That's as close to a "pipebomb" moment that we're going to see at a press conference _________________

I went ahead and transcribed the whole QB answer... just because...
| Quote: | | We play to address the quarterback situation obviously. You know, Blaine is the second youngest quarterback in the NFL. But we're going to have open competition. We'll bring in, you know, whether it's through draft or through free agency, we'll bring in some more people to compete at the quarterback position. I know we have Chad here still for another year. So it's going to be an open competition there and we're gonna let the best player win that position. As far as Tim goes, he is a member of the New York Jets. I can't imagine a scenario where he would be a Jacksonville Jaguar. [reporter in the back says "Say that again."] I can't imaging a scenario where he would be a Jacksonville Jaguar. [reporter in front asks "Even if he's released?"] Even if he's released. |
