| Quote: | NFL star Kenny Britt dropped a stabbing victim off at Jersey City Medical Center early this morning, but refused to help cops later, police reports said.
And, about an hour-and-a-half later, a gun shot rang out at a home near where the stabbing occurred. The shot was fired just after the Tennessee Titans football star picked up his girlfriend at the house where the stabbing took place, police said. |
He came out with a statement saying he was working with authorities, but Titans beat writer just put this out:
| Quote: | N.J. police captain on Kenny Britt: "At this point he is still not cooperating with police. So whatever statement he puts out is false."
Capt Edgar Martinez on Britt: "We are asking anyone who has info of his whereabouts to contact us & that includes the owner of the #Titans. |
Apparently they don't want to talk to him about the stabbing, but about the gunshot that happened at wherever he was when he returned. Starting to look more and more like Kenny will be done in the league, Pacman-style. Another brilliant Jeff Fisher character pick. _________________

Too bad Kenny Britt and Tiquan Underwood couldn't have combined their skills with Tiquan's character. Would have been a sick WR. _________________

Meant more of the one year suspension to never becoming the amazing player after flashing the potential to be. _________________

It really is a shame. He's got the natural talent to be the best WR in the league.
He's just stupider than a rock. _________________

Not surprising in the least. The Titans should have released this guy five incidents ago. Way more trouble than he is worth. Injury-prone and a major off the field headache. _________________

One might consider the fact that he hasn't done anything prison worthy? _________________

On April 12, 2011 Britt was arrested in New Jersey on three counts (including a felony) following an alleged car chase with police. The charges were later reduced. _________________

You bolded the wrong part. FIFY
He's simply been catching a lot of smaller charges, which while is bad for his professional career, isn't going to land him in prison. At this point, though, I still think it's smart of the Titans to just cut ties with him and chalk it up to a bad pick. Just not worth the trouble. _________________

I love his talent. I always foolishly believe that he has finally turned it around.
I wonder if the Titans give up on him after this. _________________
