This.
Rather give him a big 1 year deal as we develop a youngster VS paying Goldson a long-term deal with loads of guaranteed money. Won't be upset if it goes down differently though. _________________

Why wouldn't you want him locked in for 4 years our FO has shown they can get good deals done that benefit everyone. I think a franchise tag would just [inappropriate/removed] him off and it could ultimately hurt our locker room. He has done enough in my eyes to land a solid contract and i for one hope he gets it. _________________

He's done more than enough. It blows me away when people think he's not a HUGE reason this defense is so good...
Aside from Justin Smith, Willis and Bowman, I think he's our best player on defense. Whitner and Aldon are great, but I hold Goldson's value higher.
Get a deal done!!! _________________

so, what do you guys think & expect his contract to look like, on a per year basis? 8M? 10M?
I think he gets a nice 4 year, $42M-ish deal. That may seem like a lotta dollas but he deserves em, and I think he knows that. _________________

I guess im a bit hopeful that he wont try to hold the team hostage or bend them over a barrell and follow what the others have done and sign a team friendly deal.Just because he can land big money else where doesnt mean he will leave for a paydirt i think we land him at 4yrs 25mil with bonus escalators. _________________
