Was 6-5 twice against a top 10 sked at Temple.
Top-notch coach, top-notch person.
Looks like his former DC Nick Rapone is going to be his new DB coach and that's a big get IMHO.

I knew he was at Temple for a time as the head coach but I didn't know any of the story behind it. Thanks for sharing and thanks for the kind words, much appreciated.

Best coaching hire was the last 1 for 4 reasons:
1) Proven developer of young QBs;
2) Has done it as a HEAD coach in the NFL (not just college, like Chip Kelly);
3) PR (will be NFL coach of year; how many teams have ever hired the NFL coach of Year);
4) Was Super Bowl-winning OC |
