His DL played way to aggressive and actually made larger holes for Alabama. Teo was in position a lot, he's always in place, just missed too many tackles. |
very true, but before this game he only missed 2 tackles in the season.
And they got smoked, but I hate when people say they played no one all year- Stanford's OL/ RB is good and he played very well that night without his NT -
I still think he goes high, I doubt scouts flip on him like many are on these forums ( allot of other team forums are as well) - and I know some of you never really liked him to begin with- but I really do think the what, a month off or maybe even more without a game made him rusty- plus as bulldog said the DL did not play great and he had bodies getting up to the second level allot. _________________

hahahaha wtf do you even remember Rey? As much as I have been saying Te'o is only a Top 25 guy he is still far superiour to Rey and there games are nothing alike. Rey was a freelancer who did whatever he wanted on the field and Te'o plays his teams scheme to the T. _________________

Went back and watched the Stanford game and he missed a lot of tackles and couldn't get off blocks. He made 2-3 good plays, but otherwise was sliding and swinging at ankles all game.
I agree that he's still a 1st round prospect, but probably not a top 10 pick. You'd have to think that the Ravens would gladly pounce on him if he's still there when they pick.

It is basically what I have said all season long, he is a good LB, he is not an Elite Prospect, he is not the next Ray Lewis, Urlacher, patrick Willis, I honestly could see him ending up kind of like AJ Hawk. a good not great LB, I would take him between 20-32 _________________ 2013 Joe Blackburn HOF Award Recipient

Both are elite going north south but struggle going laterally. Both are strong guys who can get off blocks and would ideally be playing the TED in 3-4. Teo is a rich man's maualaguaa/Bart Scott kind of player and doesn't fit what the Browns were trying to do on defense. If they switch back to the 3-4 or switch to a downhill 4-3 ala the late Jim then he would be a good fit on the inside to replace D'qwell. Horrible fit for what the Browns were doing last year though. _________________

Since he snubbed the Senior Bowl, I'm actually digging the overreaction.
As a MLB, you don't snub the Senior Bowl. It's where P Willy proved he was a Top 10 Pick. Not cool, IMO.
Unless his combine numbers are just redonkulous, I'm dropping him lower than Brandon Spikes. _________________

I don't see New England complaining about having Brandon Spikes as their MLB. _________________

Does he even play much?
I thought Hightower and Mayo played ILB with Ninkovich and Jones outside. _________________

Interesting
I just assumed that Mayo and Hightower would get most of the time. Odd _________________
