It's like "the pot calling the kettle black." I'll give him a free pass because of the circus that is Rex Ryan. You never know what really went on. Still worth an interview.

I'm with you on this. If he is such a bad guy like the Jets fans are claiming, I'm sure Marrone, Nix, and Brandon will see it too.

We're in our first year after getting a new HC after going 6-10, yea, we're going to struggle a little bit. I think that's inevitable. I don't want a guy in PETTINE near the Bills, because I don't like that he just jumps ship the second things go southways.
It may be baseless accusations and he may be a great DC, but I just don't want a guy with that cloud over his head on our team.
I agree with you that Mel Tucker is preferable though. Man made a good defense out of not much talent.
I'v warmed on the Marrone hire. I don't think it'll end well, but I'm just going to have faith that he's the right guy for us. And this staff that he pick will do wonders to ease my worries if we land a Tucker, not a guy who's got a lot of concerns from a team that was falling apart at the seems in the Jets.

Rumors I love how they turned into negativity exspecially with the Jets who knows who made the comment. To say he is a rat is ridiculous and that rex is at war. From what I saw this morning with the news conference for the jets is that Rex hopes pettine will be back but if not he thinks he can handle his own as DC.
Jets elevated DBs coach an hour ago to man the DC position.
Trentwannabe: It stated new DC Thurman will take over Pettines duties which he was the one who called all the plays on defense so apparently Rex wasnt the one who ran the plans during the game.
the downside is Pettine prefers 3-4 which I am totally against since the last time was a disaster and the bills dont have the personnel to change to that formation.

Pettine's contract runs until the end of the NFL season. Thats why the Bills had to request permission to talk to him. Even though Rex has said that Pettine has chosen not to continue with the Jets by turning down a contract offer. Welcome to B-lo Mike, you're D will have to be better than 29th! |

Was he a 3-4 DC, or was that just what he ran because he was with the Jets?
