Don't see the love for Lebeau, yes he's a dedicated coach but it doesn't mean he'll still be just as successful and you most of all other that are non-steelers fans.
Joe Gibbs? I mean he was supposed to be the best defensive guru before Lebeau came in and look at what happened when he made a comeback?
Shamarko Thomas is underrated because they have a good centerfield safety so they move Thomas everywhere on defense. Mind you, his coverage skill is suspectable but Ryan Clark has same issue, it doesn't make he's a bad safety. Style and way both Polamalu and Ryan Clark plays, Swearinger and Shamarko Thomas fit the bill and will have the at least learning curve compared to other safety prospects.
Reason why I'm not high on drafting a pure FS because asking a pure FS playing in our system right now would take 2-3 years to unlearn everything and actually get some PT. Vaccarro and Elam both are good but come on, both aren't worth 1st round at all. Teams thrive off the trend because it's harder to find a good cornerback in draft alone and we are fortunate to have those skillsets in our cornerbacks so point being with two pro-bowl starters, a capable back-up S in Will Allen, AND a player with potentials (Robert Golden) so what's difference in those back-ups? They can't play strong safety. Not in our system. Robert Golden is a centerfield and I believe he will develop into a starting caliber player.
Actually- I'd love for you to tell me what's a true difference between Vaccarro and Elam to our own Robert Golden, because truthfully; slight difference in skillset, size, athleticism, but overall game are very similar. Being safety in our defense is about the mentality of a warrior, being part of a body and not just separated tire of car that isn't attached, mostly of all; leadership. That's what I'm looking for in our safeties. |

LeBeau is fine as far as his scheme and playcalling is concerned. So that's a non issue at this point. What the real issue is that players are old and the Steelers need to move in a different direction. Start given some of these older players pink slips. _________________

| I'd be for it just for the Leadership Qualities this kid brings to the table alone. I think he'd be a great fit in our defense and he is a natural leader, something our defense really lacks. |

Not really see Ryan Clark you can be all the leader you want if someone is too old and slow to get there then they arent going too.

Walterfootball just put out a mock, and to me the Steelers would be in great shape if the first 3 rounds landed ended up with those players left on the board.
Te'o or Eifert / Jesse Williams / Chase Thomas would be a great start to a draft. |

a23steeler, but seriously...
Jesse Williams and Chase Thomas both will fall that far? I doubt it.
Walter is somewhat reliable with their scouting information but always are a step or two behind when it come to matching needs/BPA within a team's pick. Ranking even. |

haha if I can have a dream draft, it'd be like this
1st). Manti Te'o
2nd). Jesse Williams
3rd). Chase Thomas
4th). Jawan Jamison
5th). Shamarko Thomas
6th). Marqus Hunt
7th). EJ Manuel
This is not a dream draft of mine but since Waltermock grade them all by a round or two later, I decided to do the same |

THe main reason I saw him as a potential 2nd or 3rd round prospect was because of his character and ability to lead. It hurts far more if he lied and or was complicit the whole time then if he was really duped. If he was duped for 2 years how could you be so foolish, especially to the point where you make broadcast of it all over the world.
At the very least there is a phone # and a voice on the other end that he supposedly spoke to. Need to produce that identity by investigating the # somehow and have that person vindicate you. _________________

I hope that he is telling the truth about this incredibly bizarre incident. IF he is involved in any capacity behind this hoax then he should be ashamed of himself and it will definitely hurt his draft ranking. This is such a strange story and it's far from being over. Also IF he is involved then I don't want the Steelers to be interested in him. _________________
