As the topic says is this acceptable. If it is not what changes would you like to make? _________________ All in for the underdog vikings making a push this season. |

do you mean if our 2013 season to come is a regression from our 2012 season?
how do we evaluate that, simply in wins and losses, or are there other factors you like to watch? _________________

a regression in coaching schemes, such as Musgrave laying an egg, would not be acceptable and it would be time to find a replacement.
a regression in Ponder's quarterbacking would not be acceptable, but a better alternative could be hard to find. it should be investigated though.
a regression in wins should not be acceptable, unless there were injuries to major players to explain for it.
not sure what you're fishing for here... _________________

If they get to the playoffs again, or barely miss out on the playoffs, it's acceptable. However, that's only if there is visual progress.
The biggest determinant is, however, whether Christian makes progress. If he makes progress, yet they lose 7 games, I'll be okay. If he doesn't make progress, then there will be concern. _________________

This pretty much. Whatever you feel like is unacceptable this year for regression and I agree with all your points. I think the same or a regression in Ponder is unacceptable and we should get a change. Same for musgrave. _________________ All in for the underdog vikings making a push this season. |

Will it be concern enough to make a change for you or would you give him another year. _________________ All in for the underdog vikings making a push this season. |

isn't this just turning in to a Ponder discussion, and our views/trust of him?
we certainly have threads going for that already, if so. _________________

It depends. I'd certainly be open to change, because it's Year 3. By the end of Year 3, there should be significant progress. If he hasn't progressed, then they may have to look at a QB in 2014 like Aaron Murray, AJ McCarron, or Tajh Boyd. _________________

It could potentially because I personally believe (and many others may as well) that "progress" of the team will be tied to Christian Ponder's development, fair or not.
However, there are other aspects of the team that will most likely regress, but still be acceptable. Adrian Peterson's performance, for one and Blair Walsh's performance, for two. It's unlikely that either one is going to have the same type of performance (although it's certainly possible). But, if they do regress, that's okay...it just depends upon how far. _________________

Definitely agree that the performance of the team is tied to christian Ponder's success just because of how the NFL is now. Todays NFL you need a QB unlike in the past where defense and a running game could get you to where you need to be. That being said this doesn't have to relate to Ponder as this was more about a team thing. If anyone has other positions to talk about go ahead or even talking about members of the coaching staff. _________________ All in for the underdog vikings making a push this season. |

| I don't know if we should expect a regression from Blair Walsh or not. The best kickers are remarkably consistent from year to year. |

i certainly wouldn't want to see regression in our offensive line, just the opposite. _________________

I don't see the OG progressing this year. I probably would upgrade this position next year _________________ All in for the underdog vikings making a push this season. |
