There are some decent mid round qbs. They should focus on one to develop them for the future. Look how well it worked for the redskins this year with cousins. _________________

What was wrong with Neil O'Donnell?
The Redskins got lucky with Cousins. |

We need a nice back-up to fill the need of "if Ben gets hurt". Someone who spent more than two years starting in the NCAA would be a nice option; preferably someone from a big school. Landry Jones would be a nice option.
As for "after Ben era"... it's far too soon. That shouldn't be worried about until the 2016 NFL Draft. _________________ Come Follow My Oakland Multi-Sport Franchise! |

| Living in Louisville I'm pretty fond of Teddy Bridgewater, but I hope Ben can play until he's 36. |

| I wouldn't mind AJ McCarron when he comes out next year. I think he would be a solid mid-round choice |

Next season is when maybe this question becomes a reality because Big Ben will be entering 2014 as a 32 yr old QB. So what ever freshman/RS Freshman QB are out there could end up being the pick. So 2017 is probably the year the Steelers draft a QB between rounds 1-2. Unless they get some gift of a QB in the 2 yrs from now. _________________

You really think 5 years is how long we will wait? I love Ben but chances of him lasting til 36 given the pounding he has taken year after year has got to be slim.
Trust me there is a big difference between 31 and 36! _________________ Stay low boys.... keep those feet moving!

To be exact, I think it's a 5 years difference!!
I know what you mean though, which is why this quick passing game will lengthen Big Ben's career as long as our offensive lineman stay healthy too, which almost never happens!! |

Love Teddy...but if that guy keeps playing like he did this year we will have to use a high 1st rounder on him |

If Ben is still producing 90+ QBR and 13+ games a year plus playoff games then yes. If he's has some god forbid season ending injury then yes of course the search could start a sooner. _________________

I would spend a 5th or 6th on a QB this year.
I wouldnt worry about the post Ben era for another 3 years or so....unless we finish with a really high draft pick before that and have a shot at a great talent at QB. _________________

With our O, we need a pretty Big QB to survive.
Thought on Collin Klien to see if we can turn him into a QB or end up using him at a different position? _________________
