Cleveland Browns (Last Year: 5-11)
Season Summary:
It seems like the Browns bring in a new coach every couple of years. They're beginning anew again, firing Pat Shurmur after just two seasons. Perhaps this franchise should look at the Steelers, Ravens and Bengals, who have maintained a combined five coaches since 2003. There's a reason those three teams consistently make the playoffs, while the Browns continuously pick in the top 10 of the NFL Draft almost every April. Cleveland needs stability.
Am paraphrasing here so i didn't cut an paste this part.
Team Needs:
Quarterback: Says Weeden will be 30 in October and isn't the answer.
My Answer: Not sure I agree as I don't see a better option in the draft or FA. So one more year is warranted.
Defensive End:Sheard had 7 and Parker had 6 and will 35 soon.
My Answer: Better options in the draft than FA IMO.
Wide Receiver: Gordon looked good Little was inconsistant, help is needed.
My Answer: I am fine with Gordon Little and Cooper going forward. I would add someone thru FA with consistent reliable hands like Brian Hartline.
Cornerback: Says Sheldon brown is 34 and Skrine is to heavily penalized to be a starter. Help is needed.
My Answer: Could not agree more FA or the draft IMO offer close equal talent as class's IMO. Bottom line ether route is viable.
Right Guard: Says Greco looked better than Pinkston and Lauvao was the weak link on the line.
My Answer: I'd love to see a Quality FA OL installed at RG.
Linebacker: DQ to WOLB if Te'o or another MLB is taken and Gocong is coming off a torn achilles.
My Answer: Agree, more talent at LB is needed. FA or 2nd day draft pick possibly even Te'o in the 1st.
Tight End: Says Cameron possesses potential, and Watsom is likely gone. Another guy is needed.
My Answer: Deep class for TE's in the draft, finding one shouldn't be hard.
Fullback:Desperate at FB that the browns converted a TE.
My Answer: Draft a biggen who is 1 a lead blocker 2 a pass protector and 3 can catch.
Kicker: Phil Dawson needs to be re-signed.
Punter: Reggie Hodges also needs to be re-signed.
My Answer: Kicker/& Punter yup on Phil & nope for Reggie.
Cleveland Browns Free Agents:
Salary Cap: TBA.
Phil Dawson, K, Browns. Age: 38.
Phil Dawson showed no signs of his age this past season, nailing 29-of-31 attempts, including a perfect 7-of-7 from 50-plus.
Reggie Hodges, P, Browns. Age: 31.
Despite tearing his Achilles in 2011, Reggie Hodges maintained the 10th-best net punting average last year.
Sheldon Brown, CB, Browns. Age: 34.
Sheldon Brown is coming off a great year, serving as a terrific starter across from Joe Haden. He also held his own when Haden was out of the lineup. Unfortunately, he turns 34 in March, so his best days are behind him.
Joshua Cribbs, KR, Browns. Age: 30.
Joshua Cribbs maintained decent return averages in 2012, but he has just one special-teams touchdown in the past three years. He'll be 30 in June.
Juqua Parker-Thomas, DE, Browns. Age: 35.
Juqua Parker-Thomas served as a solid situational pass-rusher for the Browns, registering six sacks. He'll be 35 in May, however.
Kaluka Maiava, OLB, Browns. Age: 26.
Kaluka Maiava started games at both strongside and weakside linebacker this year. He handled himself pretty well as a two-down player.
Ben Watson, TE, Browns. Age: 32.
Ben Watson's best days are behind him. He caught 49 passes for 501 yards and three touchdowns in 2012.
Jordan Norwood (RFA), WR, Browns. Age: 26.
Mohamed Massaquoi, WR, Browns. Age: 26.
Chis Ogbonnaya (RFA), RB, Browns. Age: 27.
Ray Ventrone, S/ST, Browns. Age: 30.
Alex Smith, FB/TE, Browns. Age: 31.
Scott Fujita, OLB, Browns. Age: 34.
Brandon Jackson, RB, Browns. Age: 27.
My Answer:
I'd resign Dawson Watson Maiava & Ogbonnaya and let the rest walk. _________________ The Dawgpounds new three headed monster!

So, to summarize we need help at the following positions:
Offense:
QB
WR
RG
TE
FB
Defense:
DE
CB
LB
And I’d add LG, RT and S, not to mention HC and GM. This team is a disaster. |

Offense:
TE
OG
Give Weeden another year. I don't think we need another WR. Little and Gordon need time to grow. I skip over comments that say Momass needs to go. He's fine as a #3 guy. Cooper also flashed and we have Benjamin. Our FB will be Smelley. We give up on guys way to quick.
Defense:
#2 CB
FS
RDE
WILL LB
We ABSOLUTELY need a free safety. We also need a #2 CB. We need a RDE but it's not on life support. |

But at the same time if a player is available to upgrade those spots it would help us out a lot. I just hope we get a smart GM that doesn't try to make a square QB fit into a round hole.
that is all

Massaquoi has always been a good #3, most people just expected more since he was a 2nd round pick.
Still, I would like to get a guy like Jennings in free agency.
I completely agree with the RDE not being as big of a need as FS or CB. The secondary had more to do with the defense giving up points and yardage last year than the DEs.
It's not like most teams get sacks on even one tenth of passing plays, whereas the DBs play a larger role on every one of them.
I'm not against upgrading DE or anything, but when it comes down to it, our DEs played well and our FS's and CBs did not even play well enough. _________________

What do you expect people to think when so many go around believing hyperbole like "I'm a better coach than Shurmur"? _________________

This certainly is treading a very fine line on the whole cut and past thing. 80% of it is cut and paste and the 20% is just slightly paraphrased. _________________ Adopt-a-Brown: Emmanuel Ogbah - 52 Tkl - 5.5 Sack - 3 STF - 3 PD |

Yeah, that's what I don't like about him for sure. Still, he was a decent #3...if only he would have played on a team with a decent #1 and #2. _________________

MoMass, when healthy, is a good WR. I think he blocks well, his hands are pretty good, he seems to run good routes. I've been one of his biggest defenders. But he can't stay healthy and I hope we don't resign him. _________________ Adopt-a-Brown: Emmanuel Ogbah - 52 Tkl - 5.5 Sack - 3 STF - 3 PD |

I agree with you....other than looking for quality depth (which Ryan Miller very well might be) I don't think our new GM/PPD need to worry about scouting too many tackles for the next several years.
