It's 5:30 am and Adam Schefter is reporting that the Buffalo Bills have hired former Syracuse head coach Doug Marrone for the same position. What do you guys think of the hire? Like it or should of it been somebody else. Also O have a topic on here already about the QB spot. Do you see him drafting Ryan Nassib? A situation kinda like the Dolphins did last year that has started off well. _________________ It's All About The U!

I'm going to start punching walls now.
The Bills continue to prove we're nothing in terms of the NFL. We never get the big names, or the big breaks.
Marrone is the typical BILLS hire, and I honestly thought we were finally getting better and moving on from that.
Nope. _________________

Marrone have had success both in College and NFL. Not a Big name, but an interesting one. _________________

I preferred Lovie Smith but I don't think this is a bad hire at all. He can get this offense going better than what we've seen in a long time. If he hires a good defense coordinator than the Bills should be headed in the right direction I feel like. _________________ It's All About The U!

As a Bills fan I love this move. He was given a total Mess left from Robinson and now were on the verge of becoming a top 25 team. He might bring Scott Shafer with him, an aggresive, blitzing DC. But I hope Scott stays as SUs new HC. Doug is the real deal.
As a Syracuse fan I am pissed at his decision. _________________

I don't mind this pick up. My only question is can he put together a good staff? That's going to make or break it for me. _________________

That was the one spot were he couldnt find a good coach for. He ended up coaching the special teams. _________________

I like that he's fresh. Other than that I'm neutral. Going into this open minded. Hopefully he gets it done. _________________

Just an outsiders point of view. I've kinda followed Marrones career since he's from my neighborhood in the Bronx and went to my high school. I know Parcells and Sean Payton love the guy. I think it's a good hire, away from the usual retreads (Wannstedt, Gailey) Buffalo hires. With the talent already on D that they have, it won't take long for this guy to fix the O. What he does at QB will be interesting to see. Good luck Doug Marrone and to you guys. _________________

I knew it. Somehow I knew it.
I feel bad for Cuse fans, I really do.
However I am a fan of this hire, he isn't a sexy name like Lovie or Kelly but it isn't like we are the only team that interviewed him, Cleveland and Philadelphia wanted to as well. Also anyone who worked under Peyton and worked with Brees obviously knows what they are doing. Maybe Lovie as DC? _________________

If you guys make a change at QB does this mean Nassib will be a Bill? _________________

I would be very surprised if Marrone wouldn't want to have Nassib as his QB. Very very surprised. |

Hopefully. Nassib already knows the offense and has ran a no huddle before.
He would have an advantage over any other QB we bring in. _________________

I watched Syracuse bowl game for this very reason. I was impressed and hope they both are here in Buffalo. _________________
