I'll gladly take the Alex Smith vs Graham Harrell match up. After all, one is a playoff winning QB and did fairly well in week 1 . _________________

Yeah honestly, I'd rather see Kapernick in there. I have the feeling that sooner or later he's going to make a major mistake. _________________

What's.up with AJ Jenkins? I know he had pretty bad issues with the press and blocking but he seemed to me to be a guy who could be hell from the slot day one.. with the injury and plain talent issues at WR the 49ers have had this year I'd think he'd get some time? _________________ Adopt-a-Packer: Casey Hayward

I'm not doubting for a minute he won't use that as motivation and he may even have a great game, but should the Niners just forfeit . Many people in week 1 in the general forum were saying Rodgers is going to be super motivated playing the team that passed him up and will have a monster game. Everyone is motivated at this point a lot is at stake. Again, sorry if some take this as disrespect, BUT................................ | I don't think anyone takes disrespect in that. It's not even so much a chip. Just seems like Rodgers has a constant drive to be the best QB. If you watch him when he throws an incompletion, he flips half the time. Against Indy he blew up on Jones (who he begged Thompson for reportedly) for letting a CB get in front of him for the pick. I think it's blown up. Rodgers doesn't really have a chip IMO because of this. Stuff has happened in the past and just has the constant drive now. I think that's why he's as good as he is today

Interesting break down for people who like the X's and O's of the game. We have talked a lot about how the Cover 2/Tampa 2 has given Mac's offense the most fits out of any other coverage type. I will be interested to see if they run this much vs San Fran. Week 1 I thought that Aaron was too impatient and not taking what was given to him on the underneath throws. IMO he did a very nice job vs the Vikings taking what was there and then taking his shots when he got the right coverage. |

I agree, Rodgers has the drive to be the best similar to Manning/Brady. He wants to be a perfection and ultimately the greatest of all time. I have a lot of respect for A-Rod as he is one of my favorites, but the Niners will have plenty of guys trying to prove something as well. Very nervous for this game as the Packers defense is well improved.
What's the latest on Jordy Nelson? |
McCarthy just said on SIRIUSxm NFL radio that Jordy will NOT practice today (Wednesday) and hopes he will practice tomorrow. _________________

Is Rodgers playing lights out, or was Greg Cosell -- the NFL Films analyst -- right when he said Rodgers is "leaving an awful lot of plays on the field" through tentative play from the pocket? |

Not sure if anybody has heard about Jerel Worthy but the last word I heard was that the doctors were hoping that it was a severe bone bruise and not a torn ACL. They were going to do more tests when the swelling went down. No word if Chipotle helped him or not |
