Let the games begin. Lol
My guess is tht weeden and McCoy are both gone sooner rather than later. _________________

Any trade for Weeden should be conditional, if whoever ends up running the team is worth a crap. The market for him is virtually non-existent.
McCoy will be going as well, and we'd be lucky to get a bag of used balls for him. No way Kelly hitches his wagon to any of Holmgren/Heckert's QBs. |

Weeden conditional 2014 pick...
McCoy later round if lucky... Quinn brought a late round pick so... Lol _________________

Weeden was a 1st round pick. A little aged yes, but still.... a 6th or 7th is nonsense. He played preaty good in his rookie year minus Luck and RG in the comparison.
I'd keep him. I think Weeden has some game compared to a 6th or 7th round pick.

These threads are funny
Assuming Kelly is hired (and its not a lock yet) I chuckle that so many actually think he's going to be running a pure zone read in the NFL, and then go about the process of scouring every roster looking for options QBs because obviously that's what is needed - a guy who can run. Seen Joe Webb mentioned on some dream lists -- yeah, he's really taking it to Green Bay isn't he.
IF Kelly is hired, we wouldn't have enough QBs on the roster to run the pure Oregon offense. Logic and a bit of common sense would suggest a spread offense - think NE run as a no-huddle - with perhaps a stronger emphasis on running plays with formations/misdirections ala Washington or SF.
And since a high tempo spread is what Weeden ran before, I suspect he'll be in the mix - he isn't going anywhere. IF what they say about Kelly is true his real gift is tailoring his x's and o's to suit who has has for players, not pounding a player into a pre-case "type" for position (as I feel Holmgren and Shurmur did with Weeden, who's pretty clearly more a vertical guy than a WCO type)
Still, I have to admit the McCoy as Rodgers~Lite or Thad as RGIII 0.8
or the find a running QB from some roster somewhere & plug him in fantasies are funny to read ~
OH, and food for though - IF Kelly is signed and these nagging Lombardi rumors are true it won't matter anyway since our draft will soon go to crap if Lombardi is allowed within 5 miles of the place. |

Just read an article in the plain dealer. In the article it states Kelly doesn't care for any of the three q.b's we have. Look for a vet and a draftee would be my guess. _________________ browns and indian fan 7272

This is wrong for so many reasons.
I say some team MIGHT go a 4th. Probably 5th. _________________ NEW 2011 draft prediction.
