I for sure can dig Lovie. He would need an experienced OC to aid him, and lots of Bears players had major respect for him. I would not be angry if we hired him, and would rather ink him than Brian Kelly.
Anyone see any reports of how long or how well his interview with us went?

I have a feeling that this is down to Lovie Smith vs. Brian Kelly. I think that if we wanted to interview anyone from the 49ers or Packers, we would have asked for permission already.

I think it was confirmed, then denied, then whatever else again, but it seems Jay Gruden still thinks he'll interview for the Eagles:

All these interviews just leads me to believe the real candidate is on one of the final four teams with the 1/2 seeds yet to be available. Although Herm Edwards had a interesting viewpoint on Mike and Mike yesterday morning. He said you better believe when all of these interviews are going on there is someone taking notes in the backgrounds during these interviews when Candidates are naming specific offenses, defenses and possible coordinators, what they would do in certain situations and so on. That is why several teams and those with new or younger GM's gather as much information as possible during this process before making their decesion. Not sure if it is actually going to help Howie making the choice but when Herm was talking it actually made sense to a certain extent.
