The FS position in the Browns secondary is an abomination. There is no deep speed there and the awareness of the players we have put there is simply astonishingly bad. The position needs to be addressed.
I would love to trade down from #6, collect an additional 2nd rounder, and go after Matt Elam from Florida.
My thoughts on the free safeties in the draft:
Matt Elam---A TJ Ward type safety who covers extremely well. Potential.
Eric Reid---Kerry Rhodes type all-around starting safety. Unspectacular, but solid.
Kenny Vaccaro---Never seen the dude play, anybody have insight?
David Amerson---Big CB convert. Great size and ball skills.
TJ McDonald---Haven't seen him play yet. Seems like another USC freak.
Tony Jefferson---Haven't seen him play yet. Pretty damn small though...
Ray Ray Armstrong---Taylor Mays. Splash plays with this guy.
Tyrann Mathieu---CB convert. Elite ELITE ball skills and awareness. Small.
Anybody else I'm missing that's worth a look? |

A very underrated and overlooked prospect is D.J. Swearinger from South Carolina. _________________

You may have thought he was SS because he plays so much like T.J. Ward, but yeah he is a far more athletic with far better ball skills version of T.J. Ward. _________________
