I voted for Sean Lee. Even though he got hurt for the season you could tell our Defense miss him a lot. His intelligence with reading an offense would have stop so many plays and possibly would have help us win the game against the Skins. _________________

I am the 1 the voted for Carr. To me it came down to 3 players. Spencer, Witten, and Carr. Romo was easily our most important player, and Dez was easily our most explosive. The thing is Romo had way to many interceptions this year. For the amount of control he has in whether we win or lose, he has to put up great numbers to be considered our best player, in an 8-8 season. As you can see, he still gets consideration even with the 19 interceptions. Dez was our best player for the last 8 games. I chose Carr over Witten and Spencer. I think all three were the best players we had this year. Witten had the well documented start and Spencer didn't play in 2 games. Carr, I believe, played lights all year. Even when he was completed on, he was usually in good position. I think he turned the game in Cinci. I think he was a great coach for our secondary, I think Mo will turn into a better player because of him, and I think he even helped coach Jenkins a little bit. When the secondary did struggle it was never really the corners. Even the ATL game. I know about the Scandrick play, but we were getting burnt all game long over the top from safeties. I also think our safeties would have been exposed more if Carr wasn't around. As good as Mo played this year, it wasn't the rookie or our horrid safeties who turned around our dreadful pass D from last year. _________________

I voted Spencer. Only other player I really considered was Witten. As monstrous as Bryant was in the second half of the season, we all wanted his head halfway through for a reason. _________________

I voted for Witten. Playing throught the spleen injury to start the season was huge in terms of leadership. Once he got healthy, he was the model of consistency. He showed everyone, once again, why he is a team captain. Anyone who questions the leadership on this team must be ignoring Jason Witten.
No TE has ever had a season like Witten did. Hell, he was 1 catch shy of the franchise record. While Dez was dominant over the last half of the season, from Week 4 on, Witten was consistently great. No, he didn't score a lot of TD's but he did open things up for other players. Plus, what little run success we did have was in large part due to Witten's blocking. He is the best all around TE in the league and the best player on this team. _________________

Voted for Romo is spite of that last horrible decision. Witten and Dez had good years but that's only because Romo was able to escape almost constant pressure to get them the ball. If Austin could have stayed healthy Romo would have put him in the "1000 yard club" also.
Great season, horrible final game. _________________

Dez. He bailed out countless plays with his superior athleticism, drive and will to win. There were entire games this year where it looked like he was the only one playing to win. _________________

The INT vs Wash is killing Romo in this forum but he was easily our most valuable player all season _________________

Not really. He was off his game all year. _________________

As an addendum to the previous statement, I think this team wins 2-3 games without Romo (and yes. I know Orton is the back-up). So he is valuable. But he wasn't playing at the Real Romo Level. _________________

not 100% sure of the numbers, but I remember making a post that he was on pace for 1k yards at the midseason point....
and he was on a visible slump. that's how talented he is. |

Tony Romo
Can you imagine anyone other than maybe Roethlisberger back there asked so many times to make something out of nothing and having as much success at it as Romo? |

I voted for Spencer. I was choosing between Carr and Dez. I knocked Dez out because this team really could have used his late season production in the first 8 games. Could have been the difference. He was sensational, but I want to see it all season.
Spencer was our most dominant defensive player this year. He was able to get several key sacks late in games and was a stud against the run all year. His presence was felt the most when he was hurt and replaced by Butler. He outplayed our potential future HOF all season long. _________________

Witten hands down, battled through his lacerated spleen and then came on to have one of the best season ever held by a tight end in the history of the NFL. _________________
