Lastly you exaggerate the amount of hits that are taken
IT's not like the triple option offense. The QB getting hit on the handoff is rare and the point of the QB keeper is taking the ball when the QB is least vulnerable to hit because of crashing defensive linemen
Dennis Dixon for instance took almost zero hits at Oregon despite 100+ carries in a season
And the same has been true for RGIII on designed running plays
His two biggest injuries have come on broken plays that he should have given up on
The scheme itself did not expose him to extra hits
If anything QB is exposed the most in the pocket where he can take brutal hits from bigger and stronger players
There is a reason why Carson Palmer, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning etc have all experienced injuries that cost them a full year from the pocket
Vick's longest stint of missed time in his career was from being pulled down from under durress due to an illegal horse collar tackle
And in the few times that the Falcons ran a basic zone read in 2006 he virtually never got hit. In fact that was the only season he played a full season despite the career high in rushing yards |

Who cares about their running ability. They cannot throw the football effectively enough to be quality starting QBs in the NFL. Including Vick. |

First off, Dixon was tackled plenty of times. THAT is taking a hit.
In the NFL that hit he takes is far more dangerous.
Secondly, in the NFL all defensive players are faster, bigger, and stronger...there will be even more tacklers hitting the QB.
Thirdly, do you know how many times a QB has ever attempted a run in the NFL without missing a game? No coach in the NFL will intentionally risk that.
Pretty obvious that Kelly's QB won't be running due to a called running play very much. _________________

Depends
Sometimes she does look sexy
But she's older. I'd say around 45-50 _________________

In shape for a woman of her age, but pretty far from hot. |

As I'm one of the older posters in the forum (within the aforementioned age range), I figured that some of you may be channeling this song.
Oh by the way....you guys REALLY got this topic off track.

Yeah those linemen are bigger and faster too which is why taking those hits with guys like Julius Peppers and Ray Lewis coming free from your blind side hurt a lot more than the hits you can see coming and avoid the brunt of them.

How many games has Cam Newton missed? HOw many games has Russell Wilson missed? And again the year Vick ran the ball the most he stayed healthy because of the type of runs he had which used the zone read looks where he was safer because of the way he could see the hits coming and avoided them.
The biggest hits a QB takes on running plays are actually avoidable hits when they are trying to be too competitive to get extra yardage, something that cost Vick this year and 2 years ago when he got his first rib injury with the Eagles
But the biggest hits Vick ever took came in the pocket like the rib injury he suffered last year or the cheap shot he suffered when he missed a game in 2005 due to injury after not missing a single game due to injury in 2004 (rested because of bye week) or that next year in 2006 |

Again Chip Kelly may not run the zone read as OFTEN has he ran it at Oregon but it's pretty naive to think he's going to build a type of offense where he basically doesn't run it at all |

Its proving to be an effective packaged play call in the NFL, I agree. _________________
