Two things. How much is he going to make? And where do the Eagles go from here?

Not a fan of Kelly as an NFL head coach. I think he could do well as an OC, but his leadership and decision making is lacking IMO. I think he'll be back in college after 3 seasons.

That's odd

Everyone else has the opposite opinion. They question how his offense translates but like his leadership and work ethic.

Kelly is one of the brightest offensive minds in football. He'll adjust his scheme accordingly. But there's a lot more to being a good NFL HC then having expertise on one side of the ball. Some coaches are made for college and I think Kelly's one of them.

Eagles have McCoy, Bradley, Arians for interviews and already interviewed Nolan.

I just can't see Chip Kelly as a NFL Coach. He is more of a speed guy and in college speed can win you games but in NFL, not so much. There also is not a drastic speed difference like in college, so you won't be able to find a whole offense of them let alone team of them in just a few years. Good luck anyways Browns but I think this is terrible for you guys.

I do not get it, why would he leave Oregon. Beautiful place to live, get that program a National Championsship, have a demanding and rewarding job, that is not under the extreme pressure of the NFL.

You leave Oregon to move to Cleveland? I would not have done it

Why did George Clooney leave ER? For the challenge to take it to the next level.

Bruce Arians seems the odds on favorite in San Diego. Mike McCoy could make some sense in Philadelphia though.

McCoy really is a Philly vs Chicago battle. Arians I don't want and fits SD's profile perfectly.

Actually I love it. He is proven to be able to adapt. I think he will adjust to the NFL.

For me it was

1. Chip
2. Reid
3. McCoy

Anyone else I had no interest in.

Chicago is almost certainly going with an offensive minded coach. Philadelphia could go either way IMO. I think McCoy would prefer Philadelphia over Chicago, but I could be wrong. I feel like the Bears are going to come out of left field with their head coach hire.

Amendment to my statement, I REALLY hope he hires a bonafide DC though.

Color me a skeptic. I actually think Chip can be a good NFL coach because he's disciplined and organized in everything he does. I think a lot of what he does transitions over to the NFL. I can see why he chose Cleveland, with that OLine already in place, but I would have thought he'd prefer a team that was a little more built and had a better situation at QB. I figured Bruce Arians would be perfect for Cleveland with the way he builds QBs and the leadership he showed this year. I'm sure Chip is being given a lot of power and I'll be interested to see what he does with this team.

Oddly enough, I am rooting for him and the Browns in this simply because so many people think he/they can't do it.

Reid wouldn't go there if Banner was there.

McCoy has a choice of either a rebuild, or a playoff caliber team. Most likely the playoff caliber team. Eagles should go defensive IMO

Chicago is probably the team more likely to go in and contend next year. But he'll likely get more say in Philadelphia than he will in Chicago. I wouldn't be surprised if Gus Bradley ended up as head coach of the Eagles.
