|
|
|
#1 Chiefs
Geno Smith
I do think he is the stand out clear cut #1 QB.
#2 Jaguars
Mike Glenon
6-6 & being touted by Kiper "Kipers #1 on the BB" & some others.
#3 Raiders Dee Miliner
They had to start Mike Huff at DB there so thin at CB.
#4 Eagles Luke Joeckel
Jason Peters is getting up there & was injured for all of this season.
#5 Lions Damontre Moore
Kyle Vanden Bosch is done IMO & Avril will cost $7m+.
Manti Teo
Jarvic Jones
Bjorn Werner
Barkevious Mingo
Dion Jordan
Star Lotulelei
I am of the Opinion the Browns will select only Moore, Milliner, Jones, & Geno Smith if they are available at our selection. If not then I would certainly expect us to trade down. |

I could see Geno Smith not going #1 and if that happens I see the Browns possibly trading up for him _________________

I'd take Te'o only IF we trade down...get ourselves a 2nd rounder in the process _________________

I fail to see how he's worth trading up for. Not even in the same ballpark of talent as Luck or Griffin. |

if that who chip wants, chip gets...I think he could be a good fit for chips offense if we really want to go the dual threat direction _________________

oh i know he isnt in the ballpark of Luck or RGIII but if we want Chip to be truly success I would want to get him the best QB possible. I think Geno would be the best bet and in reality I dont want to wait a year for him to go after his QB or settle for a FA to be his QB _________________

He isn't a dual threat QB though. He couldn't beat Tony Romo in a foot race. Sure, he has some pocket mobility, but so does everyone else in this draft. |

Sure, he has some pocket mobility, but so does everyone else in this draft. | well dual threat was a poor way to describe. he has the mobility Chip would want but Geno IMO has the best arm and he is use to playing in a spread style offense and it wouldnt make for a hard transition for him.
personally I would rather keep Weeden and see Chip use more of a passing spread attack instead of a zone read and give Weeden to play in a offense he is truly made for but if the Kelly wants to run his zone read, Gino fits best IMO _________________

The way QB's are overvalued, I think that Geno is virtually a lock for a top 5 pick. (Unless he shows Brady Quinn Like accuracy mixed with Kosar speed at his pro day).
Joeckel is considered the best LT prospect in the draft and on the same level as Joe Thomas and Jake Long.
Jarvis Jones, assuming he passes medical tests, projects as a premier speed rusher and will go top 5.
After that, it is a bit foggy and will take the combine and pro days to make a final decision. Star could go top 5 as well, but he runs hot and cold and it might scare teams off.
My prediction today:
1. Geno Smith (see above)
2. Jarvis Jones (premier speed rushed and potential difference maker)
3. Star Lotulelie (Raiders will gamle .... and miss)
4. Luke Joeckel
5. Dee Millner (their secondary is atrocious and this draft is thin with premier CB talent) _________________ Always rooting against Pittsburgh and Baltimore ... |

Actually I would love Geno in Chips offense. I believe his stock took an unnecessary drop with Wes Virginee moving to a tougher conference. And the media jumping off the hype train. I will be studying him more in depth as the process goes forward. And IF we get chip. _________________
