A bit more pressure this week, but it was very sporadic and at times we had three people record a "pressure" on the same play. The issue is getting consistent pressure on the QB.
In the space of 6 offensive plays for the 49ers Patrick Peterson allowed receptions of 17, 31 and 49 yards to Michael Crabtree including a touchdown. He seems to really struggle at times with his technique, especially on zone plays (Needed depth on the TD). There is a lot to like about Patrick, but he can press too much at times and it ends up hurting us. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Basically, right now Peterson is better against big physial WRs than players like Crabtree who are good route runners. He got turned around on the 31 yarder and than went for a INT in the redzone but missed it resulting in a TD. Did they ask him after the game why he has so much trouble against Crabtree?
Toler played very well but your point about the pressure was spot on. Sometimes multiple defenders brought the heat, while other times there simply was none.
Enjoyed reading your metrics thread every week, thanks! _________________

Just put together the season totals for all players and Toler surprised me a heck of a lot;
41 targets, 13 catches allowed 223 yards and 2 INT. Best YPA of any Cardinals CB this season.
Peterson vs SF this season: 10 targets, 8 catches, 167 yards, 4 TD's 0 INT's
Peterson vs "the rest" this season: 80 targets, 32 catches, 435 yards, 2 TD's 7 INT's. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Dead quiet day for D-Wash. Was hoping he'd get to 10. _________________

Didn't Toler allow a TD in the STL game? I believe he got hurt on the same play?
Wow, Peterson was AMAZING against everyone except Crabree. Still, next season I'd like to see the 6 TDs go down to 3 or so. Aside from that, he played like a top corner..................................... _________________

Toler did allow a TD in the Rams game and pulled up lame toward the end of the play when the catch was made. Was out a few weeks with hammie injury.. |

iRobot is correct, that was Toler. Fell for a double move and hurt himself. 50+ TD.
EDIT:
99% sure Chris Givens was the wide out. He certainly had his way with us this season. _________________

Yeah he did allow one, was just putting incomplete information up, moreso to highlight the YPA and Comp% allowed. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

By the way, didn't Washington allow a 20 yard catch to Moss in the zone? _________________

I have that one Charted to Groves he did not get enough depth on his zone drop. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's
