Not only did we surprise the whole league with our season, we also didn't just profit from an easy schedule. I always look at the schedule to evaluate a seaon. Outside of Jacksonville, the Vikings had the toughest schedule!
For each team, i get the opponents records against the rest of the league (substracting the games against the team under consideration). Here are some records of opponents for teams:
1) JAC: 63-49 (56%)
2) MIN: 62-50 (same as GB)
...
7) NE: 60-52 (same as SF)
...
10) CHI: 59-53 (same as DET)
...
21) BAL: 54-58
...
26) DEN: 53-59 (only 2 wins against teams with a winning record)
at the bottom, we have 3 play-off teams who got a break reagarding their schedule:
30) ATL: 46-66
31) CIN: 45-67
32) IND: 44-68 (39%)
Impressive season, any way you put it. |

If we can get past Green Bay I really really like our chances to get to the NFC title game. I think Atlanta is very beatable. _________________

Agreed. GB and SEA are the teams that scare me the most. _________________

If Ponder can play a turnover free game and be effecient (nothing fantastic in the passing game) I think this game will come down to a field goal again. We all know Walsh will be the best kicker on the field |

I would put Washington and Seattle as the teams we don't want to play if the Vikes get by the first round. The Vikings have struggled against read-option offenses the entire season. _________________
