With all of these threads debating just how much this team sucks and needs to be restructured, I figure we could use one thread to see what players, without having been able to see much from them yet, give us fans some hope for the future.
Regardless of how crazy, who is/are your pet cat(s) on this team?
To rein in the definition of pet cat, I have some guidelines. He can't have been a de facto starter for more than a few games and he has to be relatively young. You should also have some sort of irrational belief that this player will be more than just a 1-3 year role player in the future. I think Bruce Carter has had enough time to really show what he is about and so I don't think he should really be on anyone's list. I think the borderline falls somewhere between Sean Lissemore and Tyrone Crawford. Lissemore has had a couple of years and a little more playing time to show what he's got than Crawford. Barry Church is right on the line, but I'll allow it.
My two are probably Kyle Wilbur and Kevin Kowalski. I think they can both be solid starters in the future and have next to nothing to back that with. I also have some sort of deranged belief that Matt Johnson will one day be healthy enough for us to evaluate him. |

Ben Bass - I think in 2-3 years, this guy will be playing significant snaps on our D. Not saying he'll start, but play a solid role. _________________

James Hanna. I think he will develop into a nice receiving tight end. _________________ Northland |

Danny Coale. Hes just too good hard worker and focused on the game to not have some success with us and the #RKG organization _________________

That, and they don't like being put on ceiling fans either. Especially, when said ceiling fan is turned on. _________________

I'll be biased and say, Lance Dunbar. (see location)
If he gets a full, complete offseason combined with Felix Jones leaving, he has to be aware of an opportunity to be the #2 RB. Not to mention he can return the ball, if needed, and he has valuable experince already. He gaves us tiny doses of what he's capable of and he personally believe he could compliment DeMarco Murray, if both stay healthy. _________________

I like Alex Albright, I think he'll be the guy that replaces Victor Butler after the team lets him walk. He can play every LB position in the scheme and show flashes this year.
He's my guy for next year. _________________
