The more I watch Cousins play the more I like him. He shows the poise, command, zip and accuracy you like to see in a rookie. He still has some rough edges, like learning when to roll out. But nothing that can't be coached up. The kid stands in the pocket like a champ though. I think he could be pretty good if given the chance.

I always said Cousins would make someone happy. I just couldn't believe the Skins took him. It was one of the most odd picks of the draft LOL. He was a solid QB at MSU and I watched him for what seemingly was forever. He seemed like he's been there since like 2002 LOL.

He's got a ton of successful experience and he's smart. Those are two things I really like w/ QBs. His natural athletic ability isn't top notch but it's enough for him to be successful in the right situation. I see him as a starter somewhere in 2 years when someone wheels and deals for him ala Matt Schaub.

So glad we passed on him last year.

Damn right. Wasn't it Baggabonez that kept on saying we should have picked him up?

I also said NEVER give Gaither a multi-year contract.

Dallas let go of Rob Ryan.

Gotta love Big Rob. Still wonder "what if" if he was hired as HC instead of Kiffin.

Or if he was given a little more control over the defenses here.

In 9 years as a defensive coordinator, none of Rob Ryans teams have ever had a winning record.

True but the defenses he was allowed control over were good. Cleveland and Dallas. He had a good scheme here in Oakland but was restricted under Al's fist. Those were the days we had a "playoff" defense and no offense. Cleveland and Dallas' offense were the problems too.

And he just got his butt canned because his defense that he was "in charge of' was crap. The excuse here was that it was Al davis' fault. What is the excuse now? Was this all Jerry Jones' fault? Or is he a guy that just can't get it done?

So we would be here talking about hiring another coach probably. Rolling Eyes

Rumors are Hue Jackson is a candidate to become the new Jets OC. They need a RB and QB. Just saying.

Unfortunately they have a GM and common sense in place already.

As much as I'd love to trade McFadden and Palmer for 2 1st a 2nd in 2014 and and and.........

Well, they traded for Tebow so he could play ST so i'm not sure about common sense. But i know they'll have a new GM.

His defense wasn't crap. Had terrible CBs his 1st year and the defense improved the 2nd year. Ryan being let go is a scapegoat for their offense with the turnovers and not being able ti run the ball. Jones loves Garrett.

I heard on a Cowboys podcast Norv Turner and Rob Ryan didn't like each when they coached for the Raiders. Maybe Jerry dumped Ryan to bring in Norv as OC... Poor Jason Garret, such a puppet coach.

He did like both of ours. I could part w/ Palmer for the right price. It would just suck watching us go 3-13 again......

Hue knows how to use McFadden and I hope that knowledge is in his thoughts.
