Why don't you do that ?
The word around the NFL he can play LT, and RT
If JV struggles again he'll be either moved to RT or let go. _________________

Totty said why above but you also just said. "The word" = no certainty and the value of the position isn't as high as it would be in other places. Seriously though, look at the history of the draft. How many RTs have ever been chosen in the top 10? _________________

Just wanted to bring this up also since I've focused so much more on the RT thing but the overhaul of your defense, although I don't know how possible it is, I would like to see it happen.
I wanted William Moore badly coming out of college. _________________

Seeing the draft is loaded with all other needed positions why wouldn't you take the #2 overall OT in the draft ?
Sorry I'm not convinced Jared Veldheer is a LT in the league. _________________

The reason I picked Jake Matthews is OT won't be cheap via Free agents, and he is the #2 rated OT in the draft if he comes out.
Yes the defense needs an overhaul. _________________

B?c I don't feel he's the number 2 rated OT in the draft.... and he's a right tackle which you don't draft that early. _________________

As mentioned above his projected position usually isn't valued in the top 5. He also can't be the BPA at #5 and with so many needs, we shouldn't have to reach on anyone. And if you don't think Veldheer is a LT, why not draft Joeckel when you have the opportunity?
A few more things. What blocking scheme are we using? Boothe was let go when we switched to the ZBS under Cable because he didn't fit.
Restructuring means laying out the same contract basis in a different manner (changing the structure), in most cases to fit the salary cap. Palmer's contract for the next 2 years is for 28M. Is he going to take a pay cut? _________________

And they would need a #1, #2 and #3 after signing Butler. That guy is awful. Why does he keep popping up around here?
3rd for DHB. Are you mad? DHB is going to be cut because of his ugly contract number. Nobody is giving up a 3rd for a WR of his ilk. You can get better URFA WRs than him (as the Raiders did in Streeter). _________________

Here's a question, after trading down to number five lets say Star, Moore, and Jones have all been selected, who do you take?
The RT? I mean we really really need one and have been needing one for almost a decade.
The Guard? He's the best player in the draft at a position we need because someone needs to displace Carlisle.
Werner? Nonstop motor but honestly i think hed be a lot like Houston but he can potentially be a pass rushing beast. Plus...looks like Bane.
Te'o? No one drafts a LB that high, but this team has been dealing with garbage linebackers forever.
So at that point..who do you pick?
Me I'd go Werner. |

i really like the draft the offseason not so much
jake matt has great value and to trade down (to whatever) and get him is icing on the cake. imo he is the #2 ot on the board and he can play LT or RT. id like to give jv another shot at lt.
only pick im dicey about is the so carolina dude he is very tall and unless he bulks up he will get pushed around in the nfl _________________

Lewan is the #2 OT. But in any case, RT at #5 is bad value unless its your biggest need and there's a blue chipper. I think FA is a little unrealistic but hey, people could say the same of mine I guess. _________________
