The Bears are interviewing Mike Sullivan for their head coaching job today and I was wondering if there was anything that you guys could tell us about him?
We know what his Wikipedia page and the media have told us.
But what do Tampa Bay fans think of him? _________________

I'm a huge fan. He's creative and he works around the pieces that he is given. I really hope that he does not leave. _________________

Sully is going to be a good nfl head coach someday. Natural born leader and really did a nice job for a first year play caller.
My only issue: he's not experienced enoug yet. Not sure if 1 year as a play caller is enough of experience. |

Yup really love the guy. I think this is more of a case of when, not if. Sully will be a HC in this league. I think he could use a couple more years at OC (2 at most) to really hone in everything it takes to be a head coach.
Really hope he doesnt leave this year though.... _________________

Stay away from him! It's not often we have a competent offensive coordinator in Tampa Bay.
In all seriousness, he needs another year or two of success before he's ready for a HC job. _________________

| Really agreed with everyone above, serious guy that players will respect. Loved what he did with the first year with our offense. Might need another year or two, but would not be bad hire and I think he will be a good HC one day. |

| I think he would be able to do wonders with that offense! He is a great schemer and play caller so I would reall hate to lose him. But i would love to see him get a chance. |

I'm a big Sully fan, like others. His passing scheme is a lot more vertical and deep routes to the WRs. Back shoulder fades, deep dig routes, etc. In our running game, he used his FB a lot more then most teams.
I think he is going to make a great head coach. I was hoping we would have him for two years. |

For whatever reason we Bears fans feel he is the guy for whatever reason.
I think despite the lack of experience he has what the Bears need. We need a strong character leader who can coach the offense and take advantage of Jays arm.
Thanks for the info. _________________

Great playcaller, very creative. Good leader. Will certainly be a head coach at some point. _________________

How would you describe his offence?
Does he feature a specific position? _________________

it's a run and shoot. He likes to take shots downfield, would go well with Marshall and Jeffery, and Forte is like Martin.
You would need to improve oline though, but you already know that _________________

I really like Sullivan and I don't want him to leave, but I don't think he's ready for a HC gig yet. He was a QB and WR coach for a couple years and had one ok year as an OC. His playcalling was at times very suspect and Freeman didn't always get it done. He's a good coach, I think he'll grow more, but I don't think he'd be a good HC right now. _________________

Sullivan apparently interviewed for 6 hours, 3 more than scheduled, and it went really well.
If the only thing he lacks in experience that I am okay with that will come as long as he can lead and coach offence. _________________
