The player said it wasn't just wasn't Spagnuolo's scheme that rubbed players the wrong way. It was Spagnuolo as a coach and a person.
"He does have that good-guy persona, but he is a control freak and treats people like crap," the player said. (Spagnuolo has) no patience and zero personality. (He) has a way of pissing players and our defensive coaches off with how he says and does things. (I) think it's even harder after having (former defensive coordinator) Gregg (Williams), who guys enjoyed." |
The player also went on to say that Spags made absolutely no in game adjustments, if all the players truly feel this way its going to be hard for Payton to keep him around. IF we do fire Spags who could we replace him with? I'd love for them to hire Horton away from Arizona. _________________

If this is true then I want him gone. Vilma tweeted at Holder and something about "don't gimme that anonymous BS." Not sure if he's implying its not true or what _________________

Just read Vilma's tweet after that one and he wants Holder or Triplett to name the player
Someone just asked Holder if he tried to convince the player to reveal his name. He said the player didn't feel comfortable doing so. _________________

| Harper41, you beat me to posting this lol If this is true I think this would be a wake up call for everyone in the organization. if they fire Spags, then cut or get rid of players that are bad as well (looking at you Shanle) then I think that will get everyones attention when Payton gets back. |

I wanted to give him another full season, but if this is a full locker room thing, then I'd be fine letting him go.
Can't have a coach that nobody wants to play for.
This would also explain why our defense looked like they didn't care at times, it's because they didn't. _________________

| Could be a case of Spags trying to kick our dead weight into shape and them not liking it...? |

A positive is that our two biggest defensive leaders in Vilma and Lofton both backed Spags 100% and were furious that a player said this. That's when the leaders need to step up and they did exactly what they should've. _________________

Sounds like a rookie or young guy saying this stuff. I'd imagine with Vilma and Lofton backing him, his job is safe. _________________

I was actually thinking Roman Harper, he's a hot head and Spags lowered his playing time this season. He could've been ticked off by the miserable defense, the lack of playing time and Spags pretty much saying he's useless in coverage. _________________
