Why is everybody bringing up Jackson, he actually showed up this season, not like last year when he quit on the team. _________________

I agree, DeSean showed up this year, that Baltimore game where he knew Ed Reed was gonna light him up and he still caught the deep pass showed me that. Regardless, I do feel like most of those players (Vick, Shady, Maclin) are specifically talking about DeSean/Nnamdi. Nnamdi never looked interested or intense at all this season, and I think Maclins mention of players "not respecting each other" etc is all about DeSean. I have this feeling that DeSean always thought he was better than Maclin, he even mentioned Mac being a 1st round pick and how DeSean wanted to be one, and I feel as if DeSean probably completely looks at Maclin like a lesser talent/player.
In any event, aside from DeSean/Nnamdi, they probably were talking about guys like Da Mattress, maybe DRC, def Babin.. _________________

Jason Avant is the problem, his continual poor play has frustrated many and caused a rift in the locker room. His ego has reached insurmountable heights, as he doesn't allow the coaches to bring in competition for the slot position anymore because he views himself as "untouchable." _________________

Maclin shouldn't be talking, his running blocking for most of the year was beyond pathetic.
Nnamdi/DRC being blocked way too easy by Receivers.
Nate/Colt/Kurt being burnt way to easy.
The list is long. _________________

LMAO at the DeSean Jacksom homerism in here. Dudes filthy hot garbage.
Doesnt matter if he went over the middle 3 times this year, he still quit on the team in 2011. You guys are high if you think every one forgot that and his entire attitude about money and playing. Hes in general a cancer and a me first guy and even if he shows up on the field, hes just not some one you want in your locker room
OH AND HE SUCKS.. He does nothing but run go routes skinny posts and does stupid end around hand offs.. welcome to reality.
You guys are kidding your self seeing any value in DeSean Jackson or think for one minute every one just forgot about him quitting on the team and quitting is not a big deal or anything.
THIS THREAD FAILS SO HARD IF YOU GUYS DONT CALL DESEAN OUT.. _________________

I thought Jackson played hard this year when he wasn't injured. He's definitely not hot garbage, he played well. What the Eagles need to do is complement him with a big, strong, possession receiver and I think that can really help out the offense. I like Maclin, but he isn't really needed on the team. He's a similar type player to Jackson but slower and not as effective on deep routes which ultimately makes him expendable.
Jackson's 2011 season was disgraceful and he is a diva but I like the dimension he can give to the offense.
Answering the actual question, the corners are definitely the players under fire. Nhamdi with his lack of effort on blown coverages, and DRC with his unwillingness to tackle. It was incredibly disappointing to see players of their caliber not play to their potential. And whoever mentioned Washburn's cult was dead on too, that definitely helped create a rift in the locker room. _________________

DeSean Jackson is probably the biggest poroblem in the locker room at this point. I mean the dude straight up quit two years ago, why the hell would anyone want a teammate like that?
I also think Babin was a problem, Nnamdi has zero respect from anyone inside our organization, and DRC is probably in the same boat. _________________

Jackson is a bit of a [inappropriate/removed], but he is a well paid [inappropriate/removed] who won't be going anywhere - not this year anyway. _________________

We're talking about locker room cancers, not bad performance. Although they do go hand-in-hand. _________________

KC probably won't have Bowe, they can have Jackson. _________________

Good idea in practice, but not in reality. The bean counters would not be pleased. _________________

Still the best deal:
The Steelers tag-and-trade Mike Wallace to the Eagles for Jackson.
Works for both sides. |
