I like it, but I doubt Smith and Byrd hits FA.

And a 7th round rookie starting?

Its Ray Ray Armstrong though...

I think that armstrong has a lot of talent, if he didnt get himself banned he would have gone a lot higher. Plus he is better than what we have at Safety now.

Sorry if I was a d~bag in other mocks, but thanks for leaving a comment like this instead of "This is unrealistic".. It really does add good commentary to someone's mock instead of completely discouraging them from making another one.

For the mock, absolutely no one will trade us for Nnamdi Asomugha. There isn't a single GM in the league that would actually compensate us with a 4th round draft for the right to overpay Nnamdi as the highest paid CB in the NFL. The NFL also has two years full of tape that show Nnamdi as slow, inconsistent, extremely penalty prone, and soft. I'd take my chances with drafting a kicker from Nebraska over Nnamdi Asomugha.

Chris Polk, same thing. I don't think anyone would give us a future 7th round pick for an injury-prone, unproven RB with a ton of mileage on him from college that nobody even wanted to draft last season, let alone a 6th round pick. He hasn't done anything in the NFL to show that he even merits keeping a roster spot, let alone warranting a 6th round pick from another team.

As far as the FA & Draft, I don't think Smith or Byrd will get out of Miami or Buffalo, but if they did, I would be a huge huge huge fan of signing them both. I like your draft, and as long as Jarvis Jones is as good as advertised, it would greatly improve our defense. I'm also a fan of Cordarelle Patterson (as long as we moved Jeremy Maclin), and I think Quanterus Smith has huge sleeper potential if he can recover from his knee injury. I also REALLY like Ray Ray Armstrong. Who could really be opposed to using a 7th rounder on a guy who has the size & skills to play in the NFL as long as he can keep his head straight? I'd take shots on those guys in the 7th round of the draft every single time.

I would like to see a more complete depth chart with your mock, as that would give a better idea about depth on the team, rather than just a starting 22.

Oh, and I don't like Chip Kelly, but thats 100% completely my personal opinion, so I can't poo-poo that idea at all. It would definitely be interesting to see how he would fare as an NFL head coach, I just don't want Philadelphia to be his first "test-tube baby" so to speak. Laughing

I think that's pretty much completely dependent on who they get as a GM. I've heard Carolina is flirting with Chip Kelly and I think one of his major prerequisites is getting personnel control. I think that's where all of the "Rivera is going to get fired" talk comes from.

Don't want Chip Kelly.
Like the cuts.
Don't think we could trade Aso for a 4th after this season.
Don't think we could package Maclin and a 4th for a 2nd. More like a 3rd.
Like the 2 FA's, but it depends on how much they sign for.
Don't want Jones in the top 5.
Love Patterson. If he's still there.
Love Short. If he's still there.
Love Warford. If he's still there.
I think Sanders is a lil overrated due to his size.
Like Smith.
Don't need anymore RB's.
Don't know anything about the C.
Dawkins is ok.
Ray Ray sucks.

I like chip kelly
Don't see any chance we get a 4th for nnamdi, but I see him being cut
Byrd n smith would be 2 excellent pickups
If maclins traded would like another WR
Draft overall is nice
Jarvis would fulfill our lb core nicely, although I would take manti te'o over him.
Def think ray ray armstrong would start reg season a lot talent just got in trouble

I would love this offseason!!! Except for a rookie starting at SS....dont know about that one. I can almost guarantee we will not get Byrd.

Although crazier things have happened. Kelly would go after a high profile TE if he were hired.
