I don't mind one bit if Andy does not interview. I am a proponent of moving on with a view to the future. I don't think Andy is that guy right now. I want it to be Horton, I would not be surprised if it is Mike McCoy. I just want fresh blood here. |
I agree and Hope it is Horton. _________________

Horton knows our OL is a disaster more than anyone. Let's get him hired before the NC game so they can go scout those big uglies from Bama. _________________

And according to Rueben Frank, Reid is in AZ. Flew there tonight.
Expect meeting tomorrow. _________________

I just hope there's an announcement soon. Other jobs will remain open cause of Chip and Nick. _________________

Why would Andy lease a house in DC Ranch when he owns a house in the Valley? _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

I can 100% confirm that Reid has owned a home in the Valley for years. This report, from a source that's unknown to me, is very fishy.
Also, Schefter is also saying Reid didn't make his flight last night. There are talks that the interview could be moved back to Friday but we're supposed to be in DC on Friday to interview Morocco Brown. And if Brown is just a Rooney Rule filler (Jurecki said he's not...) to get us to Keim, why would we be messing with that time frame?
This doesn't add up. _________________

Mort on Mike and Mike this morning...
“The Chiefs were trying to close a deal with Andy Reid,” Mortensen said. “At this point I’m going to be surprised if Andy Reid is not the Chiefs’ coach. Now, I’ve been surprised before, but there’s a lot of activity there. Some would say, ‘Why Kansas City over Arizona?’ One thing is, in Kansas City, Clark Hunt, the owner of the Chiefs, he’ll let Andy Reid build this thing the way he wants to build it. And if you know Andy, he wants to be able to basically pick the entire organization, set up his personnel. . . . The Chiefs are willing, and Clark Hunt is willing to do that.”
Sounds like KC is doing the opposite of what we are doing. They clearly just want Andy and only Andy. No other interviews lined up.
I would imagine this gets done. _________________

| Meh, best of luck. If he can hire the right personnel to put that D together, you'll run that division once Peyton retires. |

Andy wants to control everything? First thing that popped into my mind was "he doesn't want to accept out defensive staff:. If I'm wrong on that so be it but that's right where my mind went. If that's the case, good riddance. _________________

Got to be honest here, if Kansas City is willing to give him full control of that #1 pick, why wouldn't he just go to Kansas City? Why come to Arizona and have just a bit say in the #7 pick? It makes sense if you're Reid. _________________

The same source who insisted Heckert wouldn't come to Arizona in a package deal with Reid is now reporting that he WILL go to Kansas City in a package deal.
I think that's the end of the Andy Reid saga, even though Albert Breer says it's his understanding that Reid will still interview in Arizona and San Diego. _________________
