@ItsFillar: Steve Doerschuk of Canton Repository reporting that Browns would like to wrap up search by Sunday - likely to choose b/t Whiz & Mike Zimmer
Please oh please let it be Zimmer. Banner said a while back that they will try to choose someone keep him for the long haul. I would love nothing more than to have this team grow with Zimmer as the coach. He is loved by his team and respected throughout the NFL. I think he's the perfect personality for this young team, he'll bring accountability and is a no BS type of guy. Plus his coordinating work speak for itself. He also does a lot of great things for the city of Cincinnati. _________________ "If you can't stand the neural activity, than stay out of the neural activator" -Professor Fink

I really think guys like Jackson, Taylor, Ward, Sheard and Winn are going to love Zimmer and would play hard for him.
I'm going to be sooo PO'd if we go with Whisenhunt. _________________

Oh yeah, also with Arizona and Philly interested in Jay Gruden, a move in the Zimmer direction could leave the Bengals scratching their head wondering why they are heading towards 8-8 again (which I believe is the default record for Marvin Lewis without good assistants.) _________________ "If you can't stand the neural activity, than stay out of the neural activator" -Professor Fink

Haslem and Banner have both said that they wanted to hire a strong figure to be the HC, Zimmer fits that to a T imo _________________ 2013 Joe Blackburn HOF Award Recipient

@caplannfl: Via this report, Zimmer gets 2nd interview with #Browns: What we hear about Zimmer; search to end Sunday http://t.co/U2qj3kSD via @sharethis
I'm about 8x more excited about this than I was about Kelly _________________ "If you can't stand the neural activity, than stay out of the neural activator" -Professor Fink

I will not jump the cliff with Wisenhunt (unless it means 3-4), but i will dance [inappropriate/removed] circles if we get Zimmer.
BTW, still don't think Lombardi gets GM. Maybe PPP _________________

I think i read somewhere that Haslem wants a strong motivator not an X's and O's coach. Rumor has it Chud is still in the mix.

In addition to # Browns interviewing Ken Whisenhunt for a 2nd time today, they still really like # Panthers OC Rob Chudzinski. |

As far as the Lombardi thing goes, he hasn't been interviewed yet however...
@PJFOX8: According to reports: #Eagles LB/current Chiefs exec Ray Farmer to interview for Browns GM job.
Either way though I think nug is right on the money on this one. We don't need a GM in the sense that we're used to with Banner in the house. Like him or not, this president plans on doing things _________________ "If you can't stand the neural activity, than stay out of the neural activator" -Professor Fink

I think Lomdummy is given the title special assistant to Joe Banner. They then bring in a token GM and PPP guy to fill out the FO. _________________ “From the ashes a fire shall be woken, a light from the shadows shall spring; renenwed shall be blade that was broken, the crownless again shall be king.” -- J R R Tolkien LOTR |

| Honestly I'd be ok with both Whisenhunt and Zimmer. Prefer Zimmer definitely, but Whisenhunt actually has the makings of an offensive line here, something he never had in Arizona. |

Either they are asking and we are denying permission or this is just a giant cluster. Also Heckert had some interviews but pulled himself out of the JETS job. _________________ “From the ashes a fire shall be woken, a light from the shadows shall spring; renenwed shall be blade that was broken, the crownless again shall be king.” -- J R R Tolkien LOTR |
