Horton?
Wisenhunt?
Maybe end up waiting on a coordinator from a playoff team? |
ZIMMER! |
I'd be pumped to have Zimmer. |
Zimmer has been my coaching crush for the last three years. He'll be one heck of a good head coach somewhere soon. |
Kelly or Zimmer would give me huge confidence in the organization. _________________

Well, if he were considering leaving, I'd expect him to say what Chip Kelly had been saying prior to his game. He was very open-ended with his answers. Saban, on the other hand, straight up denied heading to the NFL _________________

Updated summary of candidates (also in the OP):
Dirk Koetter: Signed an extension to stay at Atlanta, don't think he ever interviewed
Bill O'Brien: Interviewed, took a pay raise to stay at Penn State
Doug Marrone: Interviewed, will reportedly stay at Syracuse
Ray Horton: Interviewed, said interview was "fantastic"
Ken Whisenhunt: Interviewed, not much on the rumor mill
Chip Kelly: Interviewing today, considered frontrunner
Nick Saban: Rumored candidate, has publicly denied being interested
Aaron Kromer: Rumored candidate, strictly rumor at this point _________________ Cleveland Browns: We put the fun in dysfunction.

Saban gives the same answer every single time when asked DURING the season. It's the same answer that lots of coaches give.... Reporters should learn to stop asking or at least wait till next week.
If you asked me the same question during my season my response would be very similar. _________________

And if you hadn't said you were staying at LSU before leaving for Miami, and then told Miami you were staying before leaving for Alabama, then we'd trust you.
But since Saban did both of those things his word is not worth a great deal. Of course, I don't expect him to say "Yes, I'm leaving" when asked, but you could say things like "Right now I'm focused on the game, we'll deal with those kinds of things after the season" much like what Chip Kelly did. _________________

Do know how many times each day saban is asked that same question??? By opening the door with those answers you are just asking for more questions to be asked day after day, and in today's media storm that is a dangerous thing. Again, many if not most coaches if asked the same question during the season would say the same thing. If he said that in March each of those times it would sway my opinion more...
I don't think Kelly's answer was wrong, but you better be willing to deal with the distraction it causes... From the HC, to his staff to the players, fans, family... Oregon looks like they did a great job. However, I don't see how Saban wishing to avoid the noise makes him a villian... But maybe it's just me? _________________

Jason Cole is rarely right. I'm pretty sure both won't be leaving. _________________
